Rayne snorted at Ziggy's comment about keeping Ice away from Guy. "Yeah, well, Ice is perfectly capable of handling herself. Actually I'm worried about his safety, Ice is kinda dangerous when she's pissed," she said, glancing in her friend's direction again. When Ziggy said that the food court was all the way on the other side of the mall, Rayne let out a small groan and a string of cusses. "That shouldn't surprise me, nothing is ever easy with my shitty lucky," she grumbled.
She zipped the duffel bag up and sat it on the counter, turning back and studying Ziggy for a long moment before she answered his question. "There's really only two options, one is shooting a path through to the food court, like you mentioned and the second way is going through the air ducts," Rayne said, pointing out the vent in the ceiling. "But those take longer, especially since I don't have a blueprint to know where I'm going, and there's the danger of coming across a weak spot and crashing through right into a hoard of zombies." Rayne grimaced slightly, remembering the last time she's had that happen. It wasn't really an experience she was anxious to relive.
"So I'm, sadly, going to have to say that shooting a path is the best option." She paused and tilted her head at him. He looked a little nervous, not that Rayne could really blame him, after all. She remembered all too well how she'd been when she'd first came across the zombies. "You don't have to come with me. I'm more then capable of getting the supplies myself, I'd just need directions to the food court," she explained.
She looked over at Ice again and frowned. "One sec," she said, holding a finger up to Ziggy and walked over to Ice. "I'm going to go get some food supplies for us, Ice. We're going to have to get out of here, we're running short on time before they get here," she warned. "We've got the ammo, I'm about to get the food, all that leaves is the transportation," she said.
Ice sighed, but nodded her head. Rayne went back over to Ziggy and grabbed a smaller bag, quickly filling it, she left the big bag to take with them later and also grabbed a few extra bags to fill with the food for them.
"So, the choice is all yours, Ziggy. You want to give me the directions to the food court? Or tag along, help me carry the stuff and get your first lesson in killing zombies?" she asked.

Ice's eyes narrowed even farther at Guy. She wasn't quite sure who she was more angry at; Guy for being a total jackass, or herself for being stupid enough to bring him there, she should have left him to get eaten. "Why should I tell you shit?" she asked in a cold, flat voice. He was clearly trying to bait her with that annoying tone he was using. Too bad Ice's temper didn't let her ignore that, though. "You already said that you didn't think I knew what the fuck I was talking about, so why I should bother trying to explain anything to you? Your tiny little brain probably couldn't even understand why the dead are wandering the streets if I told you anyway," she hissed. Ice was just taking a breath to go at Guy again when Rayne came over.
Ice watched as her friend went back over to the dude she'd been talking to, chewing on the inside of her cheek for a second, then turned her glare back on Guy. "As much as I'd love to stand here and have a pleasant little conversation with you," she said sarcastically, "I have things I need to be doing to get everyone out of here. Like hot-wiring a car and getting it ready for our escape. So you're going to have to find another way to amuse yourself while I'm gone killing zombies, Buttercup," Ice said in a mock friendly, yet still sarcastic, voice.
With that, Ice pushed by Guy, purposely bumping into him with her shoulder as she passed, and walked over to the entrance, raising the metal gate enough to duck under it and head out into the mall. The mall was eerily quiet, and right outside the door was empty, but Ice knew that there would be zombies before she got to the exit door, and even more out in the parking lot. Ice sighed, getting to a car, hotwiring it, bringing it back and getting back inside without getting eaten was a task easier said then done.

Nate could tell she was trying not to laugh at him and he knew he should be less spastic but the whole zombie thing was really messing with his head. At least he hadn't totally made a fool of himself, well not yet anyway. He figured he'd be spending a lot of time with there small group so he might as well make a friend, well besides Guy who seemed set on causing some sort of problem. “Are you saying I should pay more attention to your comings?” He asked, saying the last word slowly. “And stealing is wrong, that's why it's so fun.” He added as he swung the bag over his shoulder. “So Amelia, what do you like to do for fun?” He asked as he grabbed another gun and loaded it. He glance over at a glass case holding some sweet looking knives near the register and headed in that direction. He held the gun by the barrel and used the butt to smash the glass. “Me, I like breaking and stealing.” He said grinning as he grabbed a knife and slide it in his pocket. “Hey you think we'll run into a zombie Jesus? It'd be like Easter part two, back from the dead, this time to eat your flesh.” He said laughing and using an overly dramatic voice at the end.
Ziggy shrugged. “Just thought you could save your friend a migraine, I'm sure she's definitely dangerous, I mean anyone who chases after zombies would half to be.” He said shrugging. He figured shooting through the zombie's was the only way they were getting to the food court. Actually he was kind of surprised she thought of crawling through the vents, he thought that only happened in movies, and he was certainly glad that was not the plan, he hated small spaces and a air duct would drive him insane. Also falling into a crowd of zombies and becoming an all you can eat buffet was not something he wanted to try.
So this was it, his big sink or swim moment, he could take the easy way, just offer directions, I mean who would really be surprised, what sane person would want to put them selves in the path of hungry zombies. Zig wished he could just take the easy path, continues to play his life safe and stay away from danger but times like this didn't need people like that. Then again he wondered if he would even be a help. “I think I'd like to come along, as long as you don't think you'll be wasting more time trying to keep me from being zombie-fied.” He said with a halfhearted smile.
Guy had resist the urge to laugh, he was pretty sure she'd punch him in the face if he did, but his grin did widen at her reaction to him. It was pretty obvious that he'd been able to poke a few buttons. He hadn't really expected her to share any good information with anytime soon, but he figured he'd get something out of her if he continued to poke the right buttons for long enough. It was just another game, and eventually he knew he would win.
“It's not so much the why as the how, and really the who. I mean government created zombies would have a different purpose than ones made by some mad scientist. Or maybe it's part of the Illuminati and their new world order...” Guy said thinking out loud a bit. “I bet if I knew who caused this I could tell you why. But mostly I'd love to know what the hell could make the dead come back to life.” He continued, talking mostly to himself even as Rayne mentioned stealing a car. Oh now that brought his mind back to what was going on, stealing cars was sort of a specialty of his, or well it used to be.
Buttercup? Did she really just call him buttercup? He wondered that to himself as she walked off, walking right into him as she did. “Well alright babe, I'll wait for you as long as it takes.” he shouted to her in his best, over dramatic soap opera star voice, as she left. Then he sighed, he'd much rather be stealing cars than hanging around in an already looted gun shop, but he'd find some new way to amuse himself for the time being. He headed over to the cash register, figuring that there might still be money in it, and spent the next couple minuets trying to open it. He was pleased to find that it was still full and took the cash and stuffed it in his pocket. Today really was a great day to be thief, and also without any sort of genuine morals.

OOC: Figured I'd through up the bio now and bring Gator in when it seems like the right time. Name: James “Gator” Dylan Age: 30 Personality: Gator tends to be a friendly guy, he can have a conversation with almost anyone but when he wants to concentrate he needs quiet, otherwise he can't think. He's usually pretty easy to get along with, though most wouldn't describe him as the smartest guy around, at least not in the way of book smarts or real cleverness. What he doesn't have in smarts he makes up for with heart. Gator is loyal to the end to people he counts as a friend, he isn't the type to ever turn his back on someone or stab them in the back. His very determined, once he has his mind set on something he can't be stopped. He has good instincts and knows how to handle himself when things get dangerous. He doesn't have a problem with taking orders, he's used to it actually. Appearance: Extra: Gator being both an experienced hunter and a cop is skilled with firearms and can handle himself in a dangerous situation. He has a few vices, mostly with smoking and smokeless tobacco products. He also likes a good drink but won't when he's on the job of course. He's not from Montana, and has a southern accent, not from one particular state though as he tended to move around a lot.

Rayne raised an eyebrow slightly when Ziggy said that he'd like to come along. Huh, she'd expected directions. She gave a small chuckle and returned the smile. "Nah, since I don't intend on getting 'zombie-fied' myself, it wouldn't be that much more difficult keeping you from getting it either," she said. Rayne glanced around the store for a moment, then nodded her head to herself.
"Alright, they should be fine while we're gone. Let's get going, Zig" she said, motioning for Ziggy to follow her. She walked over to the gate and lifted it up, then lowered it behind them and began walking in the direction she thought might lead to the food court since the other way she knew lead to the doors, and the direction Ice had went in. Rayne scanned the stores they passed. A few of them had already closed for the day, and the ones that were open were empty. What Rayne found odd, was that there wasn't any zombies close by. Not that she was complaining of course, the less zombies the better as far as she was concerned. Rayne spotted a few zombies in a game store. They looked like they were eating the clerk, who was clearly already dead.
She turned back towards Ziggy. "Don't make any noise. I think we can sneak by them because they're distracted," she said quietly. Zombies were tricky things, sometimes they could tell there was a human close by and try top chomp on them, and sometimes if they were busy already chomping on a human they didn't pay attention to their surroundings like they unusually did. Rayne wanted to sneak past them because it was usually easier when possible. Rayne motioned for Ziggy to keep walking, and she rounded a corner. "Which way is the-" Rayne began to ask but froze when she saw that they'd found a little group of about six zombies. "Damn," she grumbled. She shot her gun off six times, each time hitting one of the zombies right in the head.
As the sixth zombie went down, Rayne looked back to Ziggy. "See? Shoot them in the head works like a charm. Anywhere else doesn't hardly faze them, unless you shoot a leg off, then it just slows them down. Now, which way is the food court? Those zombies we passed a moment ago will probably start heading this way, so we'd better hurry."

Ice rolled her eyes as she walked off, hearing Guy's obnoxious soap opera impersonation calling after her. "You do that, and hold your breath while your at it," she grumbled. She came across a few zombies on the way, not too many and she was able to shoot them before they got too close. But when she got to the exit door, she sighed. There were hoards of zombies pressed up against the glass. "Fuck," she grumbled. Even if she'd brought more bullets with her she couldn't kill them without opening the door and if she opened the door, she'd let them in and get eaten. Not really what she had in mind. She looked around and spotted a door marked "stairs". Ice walked over and pushed the door open, and made her way up the stairs, all the way to the roof. She pushed open the roof door, and found it to be empty of zombies.
She walked over to the edge and peeked over. There was a fire escape that led down into the ally directly beside the mall. That was a good start. She then scanned the parking lot, looking over the selection of cars that she had, she frowned at the small amount. None of them really met what she needed for the group. What she was hoping to find was a. . .hummer. Ice's eyes zeroed in on just that. A black hummer sat to the back of the parking lot. Ice sighed as she looked down at the zombies, too bad she hadn't brought Guy with her. . .she could have shoved him over the side and while the zombies were eating him, she could make a run for the hummer. Ice rolled her eyes, that wouldn't have worked. She was sure that she couldn't be that lucky to get rid of Guy so easily. No, he'd probably mange to survive just to annoy her. Either that or turn into a zombie and try to bite her.
"Alright, I'll just have to get creative," she said to herself. Sitting her bag down and looking through it until she found what he was looking for. A small vial filled with red liquid. She slid her bag back over her shoulder and threw the vial below. It exploded loudly, shaking the building even, and blew up the zombies that were within around a thirty foot distance. Ice jumped down onto the fire escape and took off running, quickly reaching the bottom. The second that her feet hit the gravel of the ally, she picked up speed and shot across the parking lot, dodging a few zombies that had manged to stumble over a little quicker then she'd expected. When she reached the Hummer, she expected to have to pick the lock, but she found it already open. She paused for a moment, wondering who would leave a Hummer unlocked but didn't look a gift horse in the mouth and jumped in, slamming the door behind her.
A scream coming from the backseat had Ice spinning in the seat and aiming her gun at the girl there. "Whoa! Don't aim that thing at me! Jeez, have you ever seen a zombie with this good of hair?" the girl scolded.
Ice sighed and lowered her gun. "What are you doing hiding in the backseat?" she asked.
The girl rolled her eyes. "Duh, there's disgusting, flesh eating thingys out there. I'm not going out there," she said, as if that was the most stupid question ever.
"I mean why didn't you go into the mall?" Ice clarified, gritting her teeth to keep from shooting the shooting the girl. "Oh, the doors were locked. I came out here because I forgot my purse, found those things and ran into my car."
"This is your Hummer?" Ice asked, surprised.
The girl shrugged. "It was a present for my 18th b-day. Pretty cool, huh?"
Ice sighed and held her hand out. "Well, I need it to get a group of people out of here, so give me the keys."
The girl paused, then sighed and placed a pink,, fuzzy keychain in Ice's hand. "Fine, here. You can drive, but I'm going too!"
"That was my plan," Ice grumbled, turning back around in the seat and putting the key in the ignition. She pulled the Hummer out of the parking space, and aimed it towards the ally. Running a few zombies over on the way was just a bonus. "Alright, we're going up the fire escape, back into the mall and to the group I left. Then as soon as we can, we're leaving," she explained to the girl. "What's your name?" Ice asked suddenly.
"Jasmine, but I like Jaz better," the girl introduced herself.
"Ice. Alright, Jaz, let's go!" Ice shoved her door open quickly and climbed up, then she followed Jaz up the fire escape. The entire time Ice was grumbled cuss words because Jaz was going too slow. "Take the damn heels off and move faster," Ice hissed. The girl paused and slipped her heels off, placing them in her bag, then began climbing. When they finally reached the top, Ice paused to scan the parking lot again. So far all she saw were zombies, but she had a bad feeling that wouldn't be all that was there soon enough. "Come on," Ice said, ushering the girl down the stairs and back into the mall.
As they passed by a few stores, Ice shot a few more zombies and kept the girl moving when she wanted to go into a clothing store to grab a 'zombie appropriate outfit' had been what Jaz said. Ice had nearly shot her on the spot for it. Also, the entire time she had to listen to Jaz complaining and shooting off a hundred questions. When they finally reached the gun store, Ice pulled the grate down behind her and Jaz and frowned when she saw that Rayne wasn't back yet. Ice spotted Guy and an idea suddenly occurred to her. The perfect revenge for Guy's annoying her, and probably plans to annoy her. "Jaz," she said, turning to the girl. "Do me a favor, go keep that guy over there company while I finish getting supplies ready," Ice said.
Jaz gave her a confused looked, but shrugged. "Alright," she said and walked over.
"Hi! I'm Jasmine but call me Jaz. Did you see those zombies outside? Those things suck, well not literally. Literally they bite, but if they bite me then I'm seriously going to be pissed and sue someone. Totally not what I had planned for tonight. I guess Mia's party is off now. I hope she didn't get bit, she throws some pretty awesome parties. I wonder how many of those things there are? They stink too, have you noticed that? And they are like, really gross looking," Jasmine rambled on without taking a breath.
Ice laughed to herself as she heard Jasmine rambling on to Guy about whatever little thing was rolling around that blonde head of hers. Ice loved the fact that she may have found someone to annoy Guy as much as he annoyed her. She doubted that it would last for long before he started trying to annoy her again, but Ice would get a kick out of it for however long Jaz annoyed Guy.

Name: Jasmine SpencerNickname: JazAge: 23Personality: Hardly ever without a smile, Jaz has a very friendly, bubbly and slightly hyper personality. Some people might call her an airhead, but she's actually a very bright girl. Jasmine tends to act oblivious to a lot of things going on around her and appears to be in her own little world. Sometimes she says things that are off the wall, and don't make much sense to anyone but herself. Sometimes Jaz acts as though she doesn't notice things, or understand them and simply shrugs things off, but that doesn't mean that it's the truth. Underneath her carefree attitude, Jaz is anything but. Needless to say, she isn't happy about the zombies, who wants to turn into one of those disgusting things? That's just. . .not cool.Appearance: Reason for Being At The Mall: She was there to buy a new outfit for a friend's party that she had been planning on going to that night.Extra: Jaz has never been in the same room with a gun, let alone ever used one before. She isn't a fighter, though she did take down little Sissy Monroe back in third grade for making fun of her braids. But don't think for one second that this means that Jaz can't defend herself, she just has to get creative. Ever used a plotted plant to smack someone upside the head? Well Jaz had.

Amelia was pretty glad that none of her friends was there... wait, that meant they were dead. She was truely and completely alone, again. However, now she had someone to talk to when she wanted. She heard his question, "Of course, cause you and I both know that I'm trouble." she teased with a little smirk. She listened to him saying that stealing was wrong, she just shook her head with a smug look, then heard his question on what she liked to do for fun. "Lots of illegal things." she said, short and simple then added, "my favorite is racing and then running from the cops but of course, I like stealing just as much as the next guy." she shurgged, she wasn't that bad. . . or so she made it seem like she wasn't. She watched him smash the glass and listened to what he liked doing, she shook her head, "breaking and entering is always better when it's some rich bastard." she let out a laugh. She heard his comment about a zombie Jesus, and busted out laughing, "Maybe Easter will be called something epic.." she thought outloud, then looked around, "You know, I'm not sure where I've seen you but i know I have." she said, trying to be coy, "do you work as a tattoo artist or something?"

Nate shrugged. “I'm not much of an artist, I work at a shop but I doubt you want me to doodle anything permanent on you skin.” He said grinning. “Unless you really like stick figures, I can draw one amazing stick figure.” He added shrugging. “I take of the business part, you know making sure we have supplies, pay bills deal with customers, Mr. Personality over there isn't exactly good at dealing with people or numbers.” He said nodding his head towards Guy. “What about you? What pays your bills?” He asked he couldn't remember seeing her before, then again not too long ago he was messing around with that crazy bartender chick and she flipped her lid if he so much as talked to another woman so he hadn't been able to notice who else lived around here unless they came to the shop.
Guy glanced up from his stealing when he heard a strangely upbeat voice behind him. He looked over to the source of the noise, and discovered that there was a knew person in there little group. He raised an eyebrow, did he seem like someone who wanted to hear her ramble on about how icky she thought zombies where? Then again people like that were obviously fun to mess with, probably more fun that the Icy bitch herself. He glanced around and spotted that the less than friendly woman had returned, she'd probably brought this one back with her. Guy was about half sure Ice had brought this one back with the intent to bother him, a task that would be a lot more difficult that she'd expect. He noticed that the new girl, Jaz had stopped talking, or paused to breathe either way he used the brief moment in which she wasn't talking to speak.
“Name's Guy and I'm genuinely surprised you were able to peel yourself away from starring at your own reflection to notice the zombies, and I guess you can sue them but what could they give you? A dismembered arm, maybe a rotten foot or an eyeball full of maggots?” He figured an airhead shouldn't be too hard to either offend or scare off, he'd encountered girls like her before, heck he'd dated one once. He paused for a second, and loaded up a semi-automatic pistol and offered it to her. “If you prefer not being eaten alive you'll need this.” He added, hoping she wouldn't take that the wrong way, like he was being nice or anything, he just didn't want to see anyone get eaten.
Ziggy nodded, he certainly didn't want Rayne zombie-fied, he didn't think he could shoot someone he knew, god that be awful. He held the gun tight in his hand, afraid he might drop it cause his hands were sweating like crazy and he his nerves were causing him to shake a bit. Ziggy's eyes were fixed on the zombies as the tore checks of flesh of an obviously dead clerk. He stomach began twisting tighter into knots and he could taste the smells of rotting flesh in the back of his throat. He used his free hand to cover his mouth and nose trying his best not to revisit his lunch from earlier in the day, that would probably cause the zombies to notice them. He nodded and looked away, he couldn't keep starring and not vomit.
He turned to follow Rayne and saw the six new zombies, and luckily his hand still covered his mouth because he probably would've screamed. They zombies were all dead, again, only a few seconds later and he felt a bit useless for having just stood there like an idiot, he was supposed to be helping. He gestured with his free hand to the right, which was the direction off the food court. “It's not too much further.” He whispered and made a note to himself not to miss the head and picked up his pace, not wanting to encounter anymore zombies.

Jaz blinked a few times at Guy's response, running her tongue over her teeth before she responded. "Why would I look at my reflection that much? I know what I look like," she said, purposely misunderstanding his comment and acting like she didn't notice it was an insult. Then she crinkled her nose up. "And ew, who would possibly want a arm or foot? That's just disgusting. But there must be someone that's responsible for them. I mean, seriously; the dead getting up and walking around? They doesn't happen in like, ever! There's got to be someone that woke up them. That's who I'll sue, silly!" she continued, giving Guy a look like he must not be very bright.
Jaz scrunched her nose up again and cocked her head to the side as she looked at the pistol Guy offered her, studying it for a moment. "I've never used one of those things before," she said. But she reached over and took it anyway, turning it carefully in her hand for a moment as she looked at it, then sighed and dropped it down into her purse. "I'll keep it in case I need it, thanks. But seriously perfume works much better and is less nosy," she started rambling again, "the first of those thingys that I came across I maced with my perfume, and they started stumbling around and falling on their faces. Had they not been so disgusting it might have been pretty funny," she rambled.
"If you need any target practice to learn how to use that gun," Ice said from a couple of feet away, "you can start with that dummy in front of you," she called.
Jaz tilted her head at Ice, then shrugged. "Nah, I doubt that I'll use it," she said, like she didn't understand Ice's sarcastic remark.

Rayne nodded her head. "Good, let's get going, then," she said, motioning Ziggy to follow her again as she hurried off in the direction he'd pointed. Sure enough the food court came into view quickly. Some of the tables that had sat in the middle of the large area had been overturned and the chairs were scattered around. There were two corpses lying on the ground. They weren't moving, but Rayne shot them in the head anyway, it was just a small amount of time before they woke up and began stumbling around as well. She walked over and jumped up onto one of the counters and swung her legs over onto the other side and quickly jumped off, pushing the door open to the back room. She walked in slowly, keeping her gun aimed out in front of her in case there were any zombies back there. As it turned out, there was one. She heard a noise in the back of pots and pans clattering against the floor and slowly rounded the corner. She paused though when she saw the zombie. It was the security guard her and Ice had first encountered when they'd arrived at the mall. Rayne frowned. Damn, she'd really hoped he wouldn't get bit. She really didn't want to shoot him, but she didn't have a choice, it was too late for the vaccine to work. So Rayne took a deep breath and pulled the trigger, hitting him squarely in the head.
"Alright, grab whatever won't spoil quickly and put it in the bags," she instructed Ziggy, handing him a few of the bags she'd grabbed earlier then she began rummaging through the kitchen doing the same thing. She grabbed a can opener she found that was an old hand crank one and shoved it into the bag for the cans, and some pieces of silverware as well. She didn't pay a lot of attention to what she grabbed, just aiming for cans and boxes. She also grabbed some bottles of water and shoved into the bags as well. When her bags were full, she zipped them up. "Alright, that should last everyone awhile," she told Ziggy. Then motioned for him to follow her back out of the kitchen. She hopped over the counter again, pausing to pick the bags up from sitting them down on the counter for a moment, then hurried back through the food court and began retracing her steps back towards the gun store. She paused when she spotted the back door, she hadn't noticed it the first time. It was standing right open, apparently the security guard had never gotten it closed like Ice had told him. Rayne walked over and grabbed the door to close it, pausing to shoot one zombie that was stumbling up to it. Before she could slam the door though, something caught her eye and she leaned forward a little squinting her eyes. The back door lead into the back parking lot, which was completely empty of cars except for one lone SUV sitting to the back of the lot. It was just a regular black SUV, but as Rayne focused on the license plate and read the tag, she knew it wasn't just a customer worker.
"Shit," she said as she quickly closed the door and locked it into place. "We gotta hurry. Now," she said, turning back to Ziggy and walked faster then she had been. When she rounded the corner, she came to a stop as she saw the zombies stumbled towards them that they had snuck past a moment again. And there was even more then that, more then Rayne had ammo for. "Damn, alright," she grumbled. She switched the bags to her other hand and reached into her jean pocket, pulling out a small vial filled with purple liquid. She turned back towards Ziggy. "Take a deep breath, and hold it for as long as you possibly can," she warned. Then she turned and threw the vial towards the zombies, at the same time she threw it, she turned, grabbed Ziggy's arm and dragged him into the closest store with her and slamming the door shut. The second that the vial hit and shattered, the area flooded with thick smoke that was impossible to see through, and seeped under the door and into the store very quickly. Oddly enough though, the smoke disappeared in the store nearly as quickly as it came and Rayne let out the breath she'd been holding. "Long story, I'll explain what it was later," she said quickly to Ziggy. She waited a moment to give the rest of the smoke time to clear then opened the door. The zombies that had been there were now laying on the floor, not even twitching. "They're as dead as if they'd been shot in the head," she explained.
"What. . .what was that?" a voice said behind them. Rayne turned around and found a girl coming out of the back room.
"Long story, you should-" Rayne began to say, taking a step towards her but froze as the girl came farther out of the back room and stumbled, falling onto the ground. Which was when Rayne saw what was wrong, she had a large wound in her ankle, it was two bite marks, actually. "How long has it been since-" Rayne trailed off and gestured her hand towards the girl's leg.
"I don't...I don't know. An hour, I...I guess," the girl answered, stuttering.
Rayne looked closer at the girl, she was extremely pale, so much so that her veins were starting to show through it, and there were dark circles under her eyes, and her hands were shaking. Rayne cussed under her breath, the girl had been infected too long for the vaccine to work. She turned back towards Ziggy. "There's nothing I can do for her. She's been infected too long for the vaccine to work. But I don't..." Rayne sighed. "I don't kill them until they've turned, unless I have to. I don't want to do that now," she explained, lowering her voice so the girl wouldn't hear. Rayne hated having to kill them to begin with, so she tried to wait until they'd turned to give them as long as she possibly could. The only time she ever killed them before. . .was if they asked her to. "I'm going to stay here with her, it probably won't be long. Can you get back to the store alright by yourself?" Rayne asked. "It's only a few stores down and the zombies close by will all be dead," she added.
But, just seconds after the question was out of Rayne's mouth, there was a gunshot behind them. Rayne spun back around, bringing her gun up as she did. She barely looked at the girl that was now laying motionless on the ground because she already knew the girl would be dead, instead she looked past her to the woman standing in the doorway to the back room.
"It's really easier to kill them before they turn, don't you think?" the woman asked, tilting her head slightly with a cold smile on her face. "Hello, Rayne," the woman said, then let her eyes wander over to Ziggy, all the while keeping her gun aimed steadily in front of her. "Who're you?" she asked. "Victim or witness?" she asked.
Rayne cleared her throat. "Ziggy," Rayne started, bumping him with her shoulder and nudging him towards the door. "Go tell Ice we have company," she said, keeping her eyes on the woman.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," the woman warned, aiming her gun towards Ziggy.
"Actually, I wouldn't do that if I were you," Rayne countered, "you shoot him, I shoot you. You'd do better to stay focused on me, wouldn't you think?" Rayne pointed out. The woman frowned, but moved the gun again. "Go. Now," she ordered Ziggy, nudging him again towards the door.

Amelia listened to Nate, and kept eye contact with him, suprisingly since usually by now she would be acting like she was paying attention, "Ah, i really don't like stick figures that much." then she added, "But I have an ex that has a stick man on his private part so when he got hard, it'd grow." she shrugged, it never accord to her that she should have a filter sometimes. Then listened to his other statement, "ah sounds like fun." Then she heard his series of questions and she took a breathe, "Well I work at the store Twisted Souls, I love working there. Fallen was a good boss." she said, just assuming that she was dead already. She glanced away and quickly pulled everything together. She heard a tap in the back room, and she got up opened the door to the back room and saw an horribly sicking green dude, she shot him in the head without much thinking. She shut the door and turned back, with a smile, "So would you wanna get eaten by a zombie?" she teased, walking back towards him. She did notice that they where basically alone, "Hmm alone with nothing to do." she started, teasing, "To bad the world's probably ending." she joked, but underneathe it all she was dead serious, no pun intended.

Ziggy nodded and quietly grabbed everything that look remotely eatable and shoved it in the bag. He grabbed plenty of food, and he noticed Rayne had done the same. His heart was pounding and he'd never felt fear like this before, the actual possibility of being eaten alive by something dead, then doing that to others without a choice, he couldn't stop thinking about it, he are terrified and he liked it. The adrenalin rushed through him and he felt a little high off it. He followed Rayne out of the kitchen and made an effort to keep quiet, not wanting to alert any zombies to them. An open door had caught her attention and he watched, slightly confused, as she took a few minutes to stare outside. He could tell something was wrong and soon they were walking quickly, almost jogging, through the mall. He stumbled to a stop as the turned a corner to face a horde of hungry zombies. He reached for the gun Rayne had given him but before he grabbed it she pulled him into a store and threw something on the ground. He did as she ordered and held his breath, his lungs burned from the running and jogging and now the not breathing and he had a fleeting thought that maybe he should smoke a little less, but then again maybe he should just start baking his herb more. Smoke started to fill the room they were in too and he wondered how long he could hold his breath, he'd never tried before, but then the smoke was gone and he filled his lungs with precious oxygen again.
Then it got worse, a girl, she obviously worked there, stumbled out of a room, with a large chunk of her ankle gone. Zig thought he might be sick, and he knew sooner or later she was going to be a zombie and they, or more likely Rayne. He thought for second that she must have to worst job ever, to have to kill like this obviously this wasn't some new hobby, he didn't want to think about it. He was about to argue, he didn't want to leave the girl either but before he got a chance to speak there was a shot and the girl was dead, lying there eyes wide open. He looked over at the new woman, the one who had fired the shot. The new woman pointed her gun at him and his eyes widen, obviously not on there side. Rayne told him to leave as the new woman pointed her gun back at Rayne. He thought for a second about his own gun but he knew he'd never had it out in time to fire, and he'd just get Rayne or himself killed. Plus there was the whole problem of actually aiming and hitting a target. He should run, it was the smart thing to do but his legs weren't working. He glanced at the door and forced his legs to start moving and sprinted out the door, feeling awful about leaving Rayne behind. He gripped the stolen food tightly in his sweaty hands and ran faster than he thought he could, again stumbling to a stop, and nearly running right into Ice. He dropped the food on the ground and pointed in the direction of the shop he'd just come from. “Soap store, Rayne's there, a psycho woman with a gun, something bad.” He said still tired and slightly confused. He paused for a moment to breath. “Rayne says we have company.” He added.
Guy wondered for a second if the girl was actually that slow or if she was just messing with, him. He decided he didn't care, he didn't need to figure out any of these people, it's not like they were going to be alive for too long anyway. He'd seen enough zombie movies and the ones that weren't a comedy ended with a bigger body count than a Shakespearean tragedy. Guy's like him never survived the horror movie, he was barely listening to anything she said, he just wanted a drink, of five. “Not all of us carry around perfume.” Guy said rolling his eyes. He glanced over at Ice and gave a fake laugh. “Haha I doubt she'd be able to hit me even if you gave her a shotgun.” He snapped back. Being stuck in a room like this was getting to him, if he didn't to do something soon he was going to lose it. He fished in his pocket for a smoke, found one and popped it in his mouth, before glancing back at Jaz. “You know if you don't kill the zombie it'll just come back and it'll be pissed.” He commented as he lit the cigarette and inhaled until smoke filled his lungs. “Not like it matters anyway, we're all going to be zombie chow sooner or later.” He said before exhaling the smoke. He felt his nerves begin to call a bit as he got his nicotine fix.
Nate raised an eyebrow as he learned more about Amelia's ex than he ever needed to know. “I can assure that was not one of my stick figures. I can't imagine anyone doing that while sober.” He said shaking his head a bit. “I think I've been to Twisted Souls, it was a strange place, I'm sure you fit right in.” He said, teasing a little. He watched her leave for a second, kill a zombie then come back looking absolutely unfazed. It was a little disconcerting but he just needed to keep telling himself, they aren't people anymore, it's not the same as murder. Just holding a gun brought up memories for him that made him sick. “No I'd rather not be eaten by anything, and I'd hate to even be licked by the rotting undead.” He glanced around, they were pretty much excluded from the rest of the group. He grinned. “We can do what ever you want to do, but since the world's probably ending then I might as well not have any regrets.” He said thinking out loud, his grin looking more mischievous as he thought about it. He leaned in and kissed her, because if he was going to die, he should at least get to kiss one more pretty girl before zombies ripped him apart and ate him.

Amelia heard his comment and she smirked, "No wait, I think it was your work." she teased, knowing it wasn't. Infact, she really could careless that the ex was dead or if Nate did it. She heard his tease comment, "Yes, I actually do." she said, then playfully hit him in the arm that wasn't holding a gun. She noticed that might have a problem with her being able to kill on contact, "You okay?" she asked. Then she hear him, she smiled, "Me neither. Hmm if I get bitten and turn into one, please kill me." she said, trying to convince him. She heard him and smiled, "I can see your point, let's.." she was cut off when he leaned in and kissed her, she of course, kissed back. In fact, she put her gun up so she could pull him closer, as she was turning it into a pationate kiss and she pulled away, "Starting something, you can't finish?" she teased.

Nate grinned. “I wouldn't want to die with any regrets and if I hadn't kissed you that would've been regrettable.” He said shrugging. “And how about we can finish whatever you like if we make it out of this alive because with time's like this, we could use something real to live for.” He continued, talking while trying to figure out a way to explain why he'd been uncomfortable with her shooting the zombie. “And for the record I don't really have a problem with shooting zombies, guns just make me nervous, parts of my past aren't so squeaky clean and I hate be reminded of them.” He said trying to keep it vague, no need to freak her out with tales of his misdeeds. Although if they did survive and they ended up being close he'd have to talk about it eventually. Then again eaten by zombies might not be as bad as confronting his own personal demons.
