Myra had made a mental note to accept Sebastian's challenge about arm wrestling. . . later, when she felt better and her arm didn't hurt so damn bad. Right now, he was right of course, she wouldn't have a chance. But once she'd healed up, she'd have to get him back for that comment. She also suspected that Sebastian hadn't done as she'd asked, and ignored her conversation with Jayne. She knew her brother her all too well, and knew that he would be too stubborn to not listen in, and she also suspected that he was probably going to do everything he could to not be left our of the loop anymore. Myra nearly frowned at the thought, she would have to be extra careful. She wanted Sebastian to only know what he had to, and not anything more, anything that would involve him even deeper with Umbrella. Then again, he knew about the zombies, that alone was enough to make Umbrella want him dead. And now. . . now, technically Myra had broken the number one rule and turned her back on Umbrella to go with Sebastian and the others. Well, she turned against them for her brother, the others were just there. But, no matter her reason, she had turned against Umbrella, and now they would send someone after her the way they had sent someone after Rayne and Ice for doing the same thing. And Sebastian would be caught right in the middle. Great, some sister, huh?
After Myra had thanked Sebastian, and he said that she'd have done the same for him, because that's what family was for, to watch each other's backs, Myra stayed quiet, not sure what to say to that. He was right, of course. Myra would have done the same thing for him. Obviously, since she'd turned on Cameron for him. That was something Myra hadn't done in all of her years with Umbrella, and hadn't ever planned on actually doing, either. But what made her stay quiet, was the family part. Over the years, Myra had nearly forgotten what that felt like, and suddenly now she was remembering how much she missed having a brother. She didn't miss her parents, nor did she count them as family. They had never been good parents, to put it mildly, using the word 'parent' was a stretch of the word. And Myra had gotten use to being on her own, that's how she was able to become so cold and withdrawn. It was sorta hard to do that when she had Sebastian around, especially with that pesky little 'good guy attitude' of his. And the whole 'you're still my sister' routine. Damn it. Even Myra wasn't that cold. Sebastian spoke again, saying that it was good to see her again, and that he was glad that she had decided to come with them.
Despite herself, Myra found herself returning the smile. "Yeah, I'm glad to see you again too, Seb," she admitted, though she was careful to keep her voice low so that Rayne wouldn't overhear. That was the last thing she needed. But for whatever reason, she did want to tell Sebastian that she was happy to see him again. Granted, different circumstances would have been nice, but still. She almost shrugged, but then remembered that wouldn't be a good idea. "Yeah, well, can't have you running off and getting trouble alone. I had to come with you and not get left out of the fun," she said, grinning a little. She couldn't help but find the irony of that statement a little funny. It was always the other way around, Myra was always the one getting into trouble. and Sebastian was the one usually getting her out of it. Myra went quiet for a moment, chewing on the inside of her cheek. Sighing, Myra felt like she needed to tell Sebastian one little, important, nagging thing. So, she waited until Ice had left with the others, and before standing up. "There is something I wanted tot tell you, Seb," Myra said. She knew if she didn't just say it, she'd change her mind, so she just got it over with. "I uh. . . well. . . that comment you made, about not caring what I've been up. . . I just wanted you to know that I haven't. . ." Myra shook her head and looked away. "I haven't done anything completely horrible. Well, I've done some pretty bad stuff, but what I'm trying to get at, here. . . is that I haven't actually killed anyone, that wasn't infected," she admitted, looking back to him. "I just kinda, wanted you to know that," she said. Granted, Myra had been planning on killing Rayne, Ice and the survivors. . . but she hadn't, and that was what mattered, right?
Rayne, meanwhile, watched as the others headed out after Ice, and hung back. She would follow up behind, and make sure that nobody got left behind or got into trouble, and make sure that Cameron didn't get near any of them. He was probably still out cold. . . but she didn't know for sure, and even if he was; he'd be waking up soon. And Rayne wanted to get the others out of there as quickly as possible. "Alright guys, we gotta go," she said, heading over to Sebastian and Myra. She'd send them out next, and then follow behind them. She wanted to keep an eye on Myra, both to make sure she didn't try anything, and also because she did want to look out for her. Ironic. But, Rayne had been doing that since she'd met Myra, and she didn't plan on stopping now, especially now that Rayne thought Sebastian was bringing out the human side of Myra. Myra looked up at her, then sighed but nodded her head. Rayne waited while Myra stood, cringing at the movement, but headed out the door. "You stay with her and follow Ice. I'll follow up and make sure you don't have any trouble," Rayne told Sebastian.
Myra was quiet as she followed behind Ice, something she hated but didn't have much say in at the moment. She couldn't even shoot the zombies, she had some ammo left, but she didn't want to move her shoulder and cause herself more pain. Besides, the others were keeping the zombies at bay right now. She didn't see any sign of Jayne, and she was glad for that, she didn't want Jayne coming in and getting caught in the middle of this. That would just make things even more complicated than they already were, though she was pretty sure that that wouldn't be the case. Jayne was usually good at taking orders from her, not the brightest bulb, but Myra was fine with that. By the time that they reached the security room where the entrance to the tunnels were, Myra felt even more lightheaded than she had before, but tried to ignore it the best she could, Myra was usually pretty good with pain, but damn, being shot took the cake. "You are kidding me, right?" she asked, looking at Rayne. "You expect me to go down a ladder right now?" she grumbled. On a normal day, she wouldn't have a problem with tunnels, but she was seriously dreading climbing down that freaking ladder with a bullet wound in her shoulder.
"Sorry, Myra, no other choice," Rayne said. And Rayne was sorry, she hated seeing anyone in pain. Even Myra. Rayne paused, and glanced at Sebastian. "Why don't you head down first, in case she has any trouble, and I'll help from up here?," she suggested.
Myra started grumbling under her breath and walked over to the ladder. Rayne followed her over, and made sure that she got on the ladder alright, and then watched as Myra made her way down. She went alright, considering everything, but slower than the others, which was expected since she was keeping her right arm as steady as possible and using her left to work her way down the ladder. When she reached the bottom, Myra moved away from the ladder, but walked over and leaned against the wall of the tunnel, squeezing her eyes shut and trying to wait for the lightheaded feeling to leave and the tunnel to stop spinning. The pain in her shoulder had increased to about double what it was, after going down the ladder, and all she wanted to do was lie down somewhere and go to sleep, she was so damn tired. But, she couldn't do that, so she'd just have to catch her breath while she waited on the others to get moving.
Rayne, meanwhile, waited in the security room until everyone else had went down into the tunnels, wanting to make sure everyone was safe before heading down herself. Once she was the only one left, Rayne went through the door, pulling the door shut and going down the ladder to join the others, jumping off the ladder and bypassing the bottom two rungs.
