Name: Pepper KentwoodAge: 25Personality: Pepper is overall a very friendly person. She'd do anything to help even a stranger in trouble, and is extremely loyal to people she cares about. She's a big animal lover, a vegetarian since she was only five years old, and doesn't even kill bugs. So, needless to say, the whole zombie thing is taking its toll on her. She does what she has to do, kills zombies when she has to, but then she has to deal with the guilt. Guilt that will most likely stay with her for the rest of her life. However long or short that might be. Pepper isn't a naive girl by any means, she's street smart, and knows how to take care of herself, but she's probably got the biggest heart out of everyone she knows.Appearance: Extra: Pepper isn't new to dealing with zombies. She's been forced into dealing with them for years now. So she is able to help out with the outbreak in Bluewater. However, how deep her knowledge of zombies goes, and how she even knows about them to begin with, is something that Pepper isn't proud of, nor does she plan on telling anytime soon. However, Pepper is a horrible liar, so pretty much anyone can see she's not telling the truth if she tries to tell a lie.

Nate and Guy both gave each other the “is this chick for real” kind of look after she shoot the man that was trying to bite Nate and then told them he was a zombie. Nate walked over to the body and gave it a tap with his foot just to see if it was really dead. Then he gave it a harder kick and heard a few ribs break. The thing was definitely dead and clearly wasn't one of Guy's not so funny jokes.
“So I guess this is for real?” Nate said slowly trying to decided if he really believed there were zombies in the mall.
“You don't really believe that, I mean this is probably some reality show, like Scare Tactics, right?” Guy asked not really sure what he thought.
“Dude that man is really dead. I think we should follow the girl with the gun.” Nate said, looking out the shop's door to make sure nothing else was coming this way.
“No way man, chick's crazy I'm not following some crazy lady with a gun.” Guy said, he was starring at the dead guy, he hadn't been able to stop looking at the dead guy.
“Dude you got to pick where we ordered lunch from today, I say I get to pick this time. Besides if there are zombies don't you want a gun in the mix.” Nate asked as he shoved Guy out the door. “Come on, don't be a chicken, Cosmo.” He added know that being called both a chicken and by his first name would tick him off.
“Call me that again and I'll throw your ass to some zombies for a snack.” Guy threatened as he headed towards the direction the woman had gone.
“Only if can catch me first, Cosmo.” Nate shouted as he took of running. Nate almost ran into the armed lady but managed to stop a few inches away. Guy caught up a split second later and gave Nate a hard shove knocking him into the woman. “Sorry.” Nate muttered as he caught his balance and put some distance between him and both her and Guy just in case she felt like shooting someone, Guy would be closer.
“So what are you? Like a professional zombie hunter?” Guy asked trying not to laugh.

EJ would've probably kept on running until he got to the next county but he heard someone shout at him to follow them if he wanted answers. He did want to know what was going on, and maybe they knew someplace safer to go. Getting some flesh eating disease and walking around while rotting away was not how he wanted to go. The woman had suggested they all gather at the gun shop, which was certainly the smart way to go. “Sounds like plan.” He said and headed off in the direction. EJ had never shot a gun before but it always sounded like fun. There were a handful of people already there but EJ wasn't interested in making new friends so he lifted himself onto the counter and waited for further instructions from the woman who seemed to know what she was doing. He wanted to arm himself and get the hell out of this place.

Sebastian carefully made his way through the mall, he encountered a few lone zombies, he was sure of his original suspicions by now. He had seen enough zombie movies to know the undead when he starred into their cold blank eyes. It gave him chills, he didn't like killing but he could do it just fine when it needed to be done. He made his way into the gun store and noticed a few survivors hanging around. Apparently a few people here were smart enough to have the same plan he did. He headed through the aisles and grabbed a back pack, used his gun to shoot open a few glass cases and grabbed another hand gun and plenty of ammo. He really could use a nice assault rife but equipment like that wasn't going to be found in a mall. There was an army base in the next county. He kept that in mind in case this wasn't just a local problem.

Q chugged the entire 12oz can of Red Bull, grabbed another on and jumped into the backseat landing next to Ciara. “And how is my lovely assistant?” He asked grinning as he offered her the highly caffeinated beverage. “I've had four, I feel like I could phase through walls.” He said, so hyper he could barely hold still. “Don't you just love road trips? I do, even though some people we work with aren't very friendly and won't share there toys.” He said raising his voice just enough so that Jayne could hear that. “Hey I don't think I've interviewed you for my project yet. Do wanna be in the movie, I'll be loads of fun. Why is there no music? What sort of road trip has no music?” He asked looking back at Jayne.
“There is no music, Henry, because your stupid CD is stuck in the radio and I am not listening to Greatest hits of the 80's for hours.” Jayne said as calmly as one can after spending four hours in a car with Dr. Q.
“I bet I know what your favorite song is.” Q said grinning.
“I swear to god if you start signing that song again I will pull this car over and beat you to death.” Jayne said as he gritted his teeth.
“Janie's got a gun, Janie's got a gun...”Quieten start signing the famous Aerosmith song and Jayne threw one of the empty Red Bull cans at him, hitting him int the head. “Ow.” Quentin said.

Ice rolled her eyes as she walked off. She had expected the two guys to not believe her about the zombies. What else was new? That was what she hated the most, trying to explain what was going on to a bunch of people would say she was crazy, not believe her, and then they go get eaten and it was all just a waste of time. She deiced that if they hadn't followed after her by the time she found the gun store, she'd send Rayne back for them. Rayne was better at dealing with people than she was.
She hadn't gotten very far though when she heard voices behind her, and running footsteps. Ice shook her head. Well, at least one of them had decided to follow her. Before Ice had the chance to turn around, though, she heard the guys closing in on her, and one of them bumped directly into her. Well, shoved, actually, because she was pretty sure she'd heard him stop running before ramming into her. Which it was the other idiot's fault. Not that it mattered much to Ice, she was still pissed. Because she hadn't been expecting someone to slam into her, the force of it knocked her forward, her trigger finger automatically tightening a little too tight around the trigger and she shot the gun off. Luckily, the bullet didn't hit anyone, it slammed into the glass of one of the store windows and shattered the glass. Though Ice had the feeling the gunshot might alert the zombies to where they were. Great.
Ice caught her balance quickly though and didn't fall, but she growled under her breath as she turned to face the two men. Her eyes were already narrowed, still angry over almost being plowed over, but her eyes narrowed even farther into slits at the guy's comment, asking if she was a 'professional zombie hunter, and clearly trying not to laugh.
Yeah, she really wanted to shoot this one.
Ice gritted her teeth and dragged in a deep breath, reminding herself that Rayne would be pissed at her if she shot one of the survivors. "No. But I know how to deal with them, and kill them. And you just laugh it up, funny boy. Because the mall is full of more of them. The parking lot has an army of them, so we're trapped right now. You should be able to see another pretty soon, and see if you still think it's so funny then," she said dryly.
With that, Ice turned and started walking. She didn't have time to stand and argue with Idiot Boy over if zombies were real or not. He'd find out for himself soon enough. Ice had only taken a few steps when a zombie, a woman with half of her face missing, stumbled out of one of the shops. Sighing, Ice raised her gun, and pulled the trigger. But nothing happened. Cursing, Ice realized that her last bullet had been used to shatter the glass, thanks to Dumb and Dumber running into her. Great. Just freaking great.
"Alright, new plan. You guys may want to run pretty fast, because I'm out of ammo," Ice said. The zombie stumbled towards them and Ice ducked out of the way, sweeping her foot out and knocking the zombie's legs out from under her. She tripped forward and landed on the ground, Ice pulling her leg back just barely out of the zombie's reach as it made a grab for her. Ice turned and gave both the guys a shove forward. "Move. Now," she snapped. With that, Ice took off herself, luckily the gun store was just around the corner, and Ice ran up to it, stopping just outside. She waited until the two guys had caught up, and then headed in and pulled the gate down over the door, securing it into place. It wouldn't keep the zombies out for a long time, but with the guns, they could shoot them as they tried to get in. Ice turned and scanned the store, seeing a small group of people already there. Not too many people, and Ice's stomach knotted at the thought that this may be the only survivors in the entire town. It wasn't that many, but at least it was something.
"Do either of you know how to handle a gun?" she asked, turning to face Nate and Guy. "Because if you do, I suggest you grab some and some ammo. You're going to need it," she warned. She paused, then added. "Name's Ice, by the way," she called over her shoulder as she headed over to the gun counter. She glanced over towards Rayne, hoping she decided to take the lead and explain what was going on to everyone. Well, as much as they could, anyway. She really didn't want to have to do it.

Rayne watched as the two people she was pretty sure were siblings take off towards the gun store. Followed by the guy she'd caught running off. The guy her and Ice had found in the parking lot followed suit, and the blonde girl seemed to be considering it. Finally, she took for the gun store as well. Rayne shook her head, taking a deep breath as she followed up behind the others. Wanting to see if she saw any other survivors around.
A noise in one of the stores caught her attention, and Rayne aimed her gun in front of her, carefully moving into the store. "Hello?" she called out. At first, there was no answer, but then pink hair popped out from behind the counter. Rayne raised an eyebrow at the girl. "You alright?" she asked. Pinky nodded and looked over Rayne's shoulder.
"How many of those things are out there?" she asked.
Rayne shrugged and lowered the gun. "Don't know. A lot. Look, I'm trying to get everyone together in the gun store. You coming?" she asked. The girl paused for a moment, but then nodded her head and hurried towards Rayne. With that, Rayne turned and jogged quickly towards the gun store. The pink haired girl ran in and Rayne hung around the doorway. Watching for Ice, and to keep any zombies out until they could pull the gate down. It wasn't long before Ice came in, leading two men there as well. Rayne raised an eyebrow, almost surprised that Ice had somehow managed to find survivors.
After Ice closed the gate, Rayne ran her hand through her hair and faced the group. There wasn't many people. She did a quick head count. Twelve people, if she counted right, including herself and Ice. Ice was already going over to the gun counter, loading up on ammo. Rayne sighed, she'd promised some answers to them, so she had to follow through. But she knew she could only tell them so much. "Alright, everyone, listen up," Rayne said, raising her voice loud enough for everyone to hear her. "We don't have a lot of time. But I promised some answers, and I'll hold up to that." Rayne paused for a second, deciding the best way to word this.
"As most of you have probably already figured out, yes, those are real zombies out there. Recently, there was a truck carrying hazardous materials passing through the area, it wrecked, and the contents of the truck leaked into the ground. This happened right off the highway beside one of the local graveyards. The liquids that leaked into the ground are extremely dangerous, they were being taken to a lab for experimental reasons." Rayne had to be careful there, she couldn't go into detail. "The liquid spread through the ground quickly, and found its way into the graves. It. . . well, for lack of a better way to explain it, it affected the brains of the dead, sort of re-activating them, so to speak. Causing the bodies to begin moving, and the brain is running on survival mode. The only way to kill a zombie, is shoot it in the head. You can decapitate them, but the head can and will still bite you," Rayne explained. "And to avoid any confusion, no, the zombies are not the people just brought back to life. Once the infection takes hold, they're no longer the person you may have once known."
Clearing her throat, Rayne continued. "The infection is spread through the blood. If you are bitten or scratched, you will become infected. It varies on how strong you are, on how long it takes the infection to spread and turn you into a zombie. But the longest someone can hold out is usually two hours at the most." Rayne felt guilty for not telling them about the one chance that they may have to survive, but she knew that she couldn't. They needed to believe the worst case to avoid contact with the zombies in case it didn't work. "Most of the town has already been infected. We believe everyone here are the only survivors. We're going to try to get out as quickly as possible before the zombies have us completely blocked in."
Rayne went quiet for a moment, trying to give everyone time to process what she'd said. "I suggest everyone that knows how to handle a gun, get one and plenty of ammo, if you haven't already done so," she said. She could see a few people already gathering up ammo, so at least they were catching on quickly. "If anyone has any questions, I'll answer what I can," she added. Then, sighing, Rayne finished. "And finally, we don't have much time before we need to go. However before we go, we need to gather up some supplies. I'm going to head to the food court and get some food for us, but I'll need at least one more person to go with me and help bring it back. If anyone's willing to go with me, they should be good with a gun and their aim. If nobody wants to go, you don't have to," Rayne added.
"And I'm going to try to find us another way out of here. Both the front and back doors are pretty much out," Ice added after Rayne had finished. Sighing, she grumbled, "and I can try to see if there's any more survivors while I'm at it." Honestly, Ice didn't think there was anyone left. But it wouldn't hurt to while she tried to find a way out.

When Jaz reached the gun store, she went straight to the back, as far away from the door as she could get, and stayed there. She watched a few of the other people that had gathered there. At least she wasn't the only person that had seen those. . . gross people. What was wrong with them, anyway? Jaz had only seen stuff like that in scary movies. But that couldn't happen in real life, could it? Sadly though, it was beginning to look like it could.
Rayne began talking, explaining what had happened, but Jaz barely understood what she said. How could some. . . liquid stuff make the dead get up and walk, and start munching on people? Something felt off to Jaz, but since she had never really understood anything when it came to science, she kept her mouth shut. Who was she to say it wasn't possible?
When Rayne asked if anyone would go with her to the food court, Jaz crossed her arms over her chest. "No way. No how. I am not gong out there," she muttered. She doubted the woman could even hear, from Jaz's spot at the back of the store, but she said it anyway. There was no way that Jaz would willingly go out with those gross people again. At least, not unless it was to get the hell out of there. She didn't want to stay there forever. . . but wouldn't someone eventually come to help them? Then a sickening thought hit her. What if there was nobody left? What if the zombies had gotten everyone but who was in the store? Jaz frowned at the thought. She didn't want to get turned into one of those gross people.

Chase frowned, listening closely to what the brunette had to say. He'd already figured out the zombie part. That much was painfully obvious when one of them had tried to take a bite out of him in the parking lot while he'd been on his break. The explanation for what had caused the zombies caught Chase's attention. The truck that had been on its way to some lab. He'd be willing to bet that it was taking the 'hazardous materials' to Umbrella. He had known they were up to no good. But he never would have imagined that even Umbrella could do something like this.
Gritting his teeth on that thought. Guilt eating at him, he tried to listen to what was being said. All the while wondering if he could have done something to prevent this. But what? After what had happened to Donaldson, there probably wasn't anyone that would listen to him, and he'd have just ended up like Donaldson. Then he wouldn't be able to help anyone at all.

Myra made her way through the mall, killing a few zombies that got in her path. There were too many even in the mall for Myra to kill them all. At least, until she got some more ammo or Jayne got there. She'd left her extra ammo in the car with them since she couldn't haul it all around with her. Although, Myra was beginning to consider her other option of what she might have to do to the place.
Finally, Myra neared the gun store, but hearing voices, she hung back. One of the voices, she quickly recongized as Rayne. Myra gritted her teeth. Great, Rayne and Ice were already here. Carefully moving forward, she got to peek into the gun store. Rayne and Ice didn't see her, so she was able to look at the group of witnesses. There was a hefty little group, more than she had expected. Myra frowned. Rayne and Ice would be pretty hard to deal with. But she could have probably gotten a shot in on one of them before they had time to move. However. . . there was too many people in the store. Myra probably wouldn't have much of a chance of taking them all on if they all started shooting at her. She had no idea of any of them were good or horrible shots, and she couldn't risk it just yet.
Someone in the store caught her attention, and she squinted her eyes. Was that. . . Myra's mouth nearly dropped open. What the hell was he doing there? Frowning, Myra quickly moved away from the gun store, going to a store down the way and slipping inside. She was sure she hadn't been seen, but now she had to figure out what to do. She hadn't expected to see anyone she knew there. Maybe she'd seen wrong? Myra hoped she had. If that was who she thought it was. . . things just got more complicated than they should have been.

Ciara was still staring out the window when Q suddenly jumped in the backseat and landed next to her. She jumped, snapping out of her thoughts and turning her head in that direction, but then relaxed when she realized it was just Q. She really should have known it would be him, she thought in hindsight. Myra wasn't there, and Jayne was driving. Then again, she wasn't sure she'd put it past Jayne to suddenly leap out of the driver's seat at someone if they really pissed him off. He did seem like. . . well, a psychopath at times. So she didn't know what to expect from him. Myra had no problem yelling at him. Ciara, on the other hand,. preferred he forgot she was even there.
"Oh, thanks," Ciara said, taking the Red Bull that he offered her. She raised an eyebrow at him when he said that he'd had four so far, and felt like he could phase through walls. She wouldn't be surprised if he felt like that after having four of those, hell she was surprised he wasn't vibrating. Though, come to think of it, he did look like he was having trouble holding still. As Q rambled, Ciara popped open the can of Red Bull and took a sip of it. She didn't go through them nearly as fast as Q did, but she usually had to drink a few to keep up with him. Especially whenever he needed her help in lab or whatever.
Before Ciara had a chance to answer any of Q's question, he started singing. Ciara cringed, knowing that was not going to go over well with Jayne. That was one of the things she didn't understand about Q, how he constantly poked Jayne. But, Ciara never said this of course. Who was she to tell The Doctor not to poke The Psychopath?
Q's singing caused Jayne to throw an empty can of Red Bull at him. Ciara cringed as it hit Q in the head. There was a good example of why Ciara tried to be as invisible to Jayne as possible. Clearing her throat, Ciara decided to start talking. Maybe she kept Q distracted by talking with her, Jayne wouldn't pull the car over and beat him to death, as per his threat.
"Road trips are nice. I use to love taking road trips when I was a kid. Once when I was in collage, I took a road trip with my roommate and some of her friends. We went to Chicago, it was fun," Ciara started rambling. She skipped over his comment that had been aimed at Jayne, not wanting to poke Jayne. "And no, you haven't interviewed me for your project yet. But I'm just your assistant so I don't know if anyone would be interested in what I have to say. You're The Doctor, after all. But if you want to interview me for it, that's fine. I don't mind. Might be fun, like you said. You're usually right about that," Ciara rambled without taking a breath. Hmmm, maybe that was why she worked so well with Q, she was a rambler herself so she was able to keep up with him, and didn't get annoyed by it the way that Myra and Jayne did.
"Oh! But if you want music-" Ciara trailed off and leaned forward towards her bag that was sitting in the car. She dug around in it for a moment, then zipped it up and handed Q her Ipod. "Not as good as having it play through the car, but you can use it if you want," she said. Clearing her throat, Ciara shifted in her seat. "So, uh, how's your project coming along?" Ciara asked.

Guy bit his tongue to keep from laughing when Nate knocked into the woman and caused her to shoot out a window.
“I think you've fired that off a bit prematurely there cowboy.” Nate said as seriously as he could which caused Guy to fail at his attempts to contain his laughter. He stopped laughing rather quickly when he learned she was out of ammo and there were some zombies coming there way. He was starting to think that maybe this zombie thing was legit. She told them to run to the gun store and this time they didn't hesitate. Once in inside the door she pulled the security gate down and introduced herself as Ice. Guy grinned at her question.
“Yeah we know how to shoot.” Guy answered looking over at Nate to see if he agreed, he knew Nate hadn't used a gun in a while. Nate wasn't paying attention he was looking over at some girl who was talking to a couple people while gathering up some guns. Nate looked over at Guy.
“Hey do you know that girl over there?” Nate asked, gesturing towards Amelia.
Guy rolled his eyes and nodded. “Yeah she works at that store across from the shop, I hear she's a bit cuckoo for cocopuffs you know.” He said shrugging a bit. “I think her names Amelia or something.”
Nate headed over in her direction. “Hey neighbors.” He said as he approached the small group. “You know I think our shops are right across from each other and I don't think we've ever had a conversation. I'm Nathan Murphy, most people just call me Nate though.” He said extending his hand and offering a friendly smile.

Eli grabbed a bottle of hand sanitizer, untwisted the cap and poured it on the hand he'd hit the zombie with. The woman that seemed to be in charge, Rayne had said it spread through blood and no way was he taking a chance that he could turn into one of those things. “Hey I'm not gonna turn into a zombie right? I mean I punched one of 'em and it kinda got some blood on me.” He asked as he frantically rubbed the hand sanitizer into his skin. He was starting to feel the anxiety, he really wanted a pill but he couldn't know there were too many people around. Plus he'd never used a gun before and he was sure he'd make an even worse shot if he was high.

Sebastian watched the woman who started talking, she seemed to know a lot about what was going on. He still had so many unanswered questions but now was clearly not the time for it. She asked for a volunteer to help gather food from the food court so he raised his had. “Names Sebastian, I'm ex army and I've known how to shoot a gun since I was twelve, you need some one good with a gun then I'm your man.” He said quickly, he wasn't trying to brag but it was the truth and he wanted to help as much as he could. He was a bit suspicions of these woman, how did they know so much more than anyone else here about zombies? They clearly had to have known this mall was infested with legions of the undead, they'd come armed and seemed too well organized to not have done this before. “If you don't mind I do have a few questions, like is this sort of infection localized, has it spread past this town?” He asked as he approached Rayne, as she seemed to be the one in charge.

Q grinned. “Chicago that sounds nice, I've been there a few times but only for business.” Q left out that he'd never really road tripped with friends before mostly because he hadn't had any friends since he started working for Umbrella. His job had become his entire life, 18 hour days in a lab didn't leave much time for a social life. Q didn't really mind though, he enjoyed spending his time in lab, creating and experimenting, learning knew things and solving puzzles was what he really lived for.
“Who wouldn't be interested in hearing the thoughts of the second most brilliant mind behind Umbrella?” Q asked as he grabbed his camera and opened it up. He didn't really get why Ciara never seemed to realize that she was one of the few scientists he believed was capable of working on his level. She mentioned something about an ipod and when she offered it to him he grabbed it and grinned. “Thanks!” He said excited as he jumped back into the middle row of seat and searched through his stuff. He finally found what he was looking for and plugged it into the ipod then into the stereo. He put the ipod on shuffle and waited to see what sort of music Ciara was into. He snatched up his camera and pointed it at her.
“Ciara Maxwell, the brilliant, blue haired beauty of our Science department, bravely sacrificing her own safety to help hunt down the undead monsters and set the world right once more. So tell us Ciara, how are you coping with this zombie apocalypse?” He asked using his most dramatic voice.
