Amelia noticed as people was going along, then listened to the more sane girl instruct on what was happening, “Survival mode kicked in, I picked up some camp food and we got some guns and ammo in the bags.” she spoke up to Rayne, then went back to talking to Ashton, who she figured he was fixing to take Rayne up on her offer. It didn’t matter to her, but who was going to calm her down from shooting someone…like his sister, that was really annoying her. She really needed to get it together. So they was fighting against people that once lived here, that didn’t bother her very much or any at all. She glanced up when she heard a male voice speaking to close to not notice, she gave him a smile, “Well hello there, and yeah, funny how that works out.” she said, when she listened to him. “I’m Amelia Fraiser.” She said, taking his hand. She was particular about her middle name since her past and her book only held her secrets. Then she glanced over at Ashton who pushed himself off the counter and walked a bit away from her and was making sure his gun was loaded, then she glanced back, “That might be because you’re always busy keeping hmm Guy under control and I’m always avoiding most people.” she was just saying her guess, as she ran a hand in her fair blond bangs putting them behind her ear. While talking to him, she was trying to figure out a way out and to help but she didn’t really want to suggest that most of them could just go outside to see how many people was there. “So do you know how to handle a gun?” she asked him, picking up one and was handing it to him, her gun was in her waist band, she could draw it pretty quickly.
Angel glanced up from her thumbs as she listened to the disturbing horrid things that the brunette, who had a jagged plan that made her toes curl. The uncertainty in everything was making her feel pretty sick. It was oddly disturbing that her brother and Amelia had already figured that was going to need supplies before the girl even mentioned it. Was this somehow a conspiracy like all those hippie people kept telling her back in the day. Trying to get her to agree to everything to them, that like the government was against them. Who was behind this? Was these people after them now? She glanced away and out into the distance and thought she saw a zombie but it didn’t stay in view for long. Or maybe that was the stress from her going crazy for being responsible for the death of hers and her brother’s baby sister. The guilt was pounding on her head, causing her to have a horrible headache.
Ashton didn’t mean to but he walked away from doing that and he ended up being really close to the girl that explained to him what was going on. Some sort of chemical seeped into the ground and infected some poor fuckers from their internal peace, it was almost as if they became the peace keepers every time they pulled the trigger, at least, the zombie’s was put back to rest. It was pretty amusing that’s when something clicked in his head. There was those tunnels that most teenagers use now is to hook up before they completely close down. They just needed to go through the door and go down a few feet and drop into feet and just run or not. The opening had to be somewhere out there. Or maybe he got it backwards with the opening, it really had been awhile since he’s been down there.

Nate smiled back, he wasn't minding this whole zombie things right now since he owed the zombies for this chance to spend time with an incredibly attractive woman. “Well it's very nice to meet you, Amelia.” He said as her friend left. “Sorry if interrupted something, I guess your friend doesn't like me.” He added not really bothered by it. He searched threw his pockets for his pack of Marlboro's and pulled out the red and white box and a plain black lighter. He placed one of the cigarettes between his lips, lit it and look a long drag before putting them back into his pocket. He blew the smoke upwards, keeping the smoke away from her so as not to be rude. She asked if he knew how to handle a gun and handed him one. There was that question again, sure he knew how but it wasn't something he wanted to do. He reluctantly accepted the firearm, made sure the safety was on and checking to see if it was loaded. It was and the safety was on so he put the gun into his jacket pocket. “Yeah I learned to shoot with my Dad back in Dublin when I was kid, used to be a pretty good shot but I haven't had much practice past few years.” He said with a slight shrug. “So you pretty good with a gun?” He asked.

Amelia kept her smile on, and heard him and she gave him a nod, “Likewise, Nate.” she replied, then she heard him say sorry which made her let out a giggle, “Oh it’s fine, he just leaves when I start talking to a guy.” she responded to him with a light shrug. She wouldn’t really care if Ashton liked the guy or not, it was her life so she would talk to whomever who she wanted to do. As she was perfectly find talking to his attractive man. She lifted as eyebrow when she noticed him started smoking and remembered that she put hers out before everyone started getting here and it was pretty much done with. And she watched the smoke escape his lips and into the air. She listened to his answer and gave a light nod it was out of habit that she was paying attention. And then heard him return the same question, “You could say that.” she replied to him, as she slipped her fingers around his cigarette and removed them, “You know, this can cause lung cancer.” she playfully teased, as she put it against her lips and exhaled smoke in the air before handing it back to him with a light smirk. She wasn’t so alert as she normally was, she was letting the two ‘leaders’ handle that but she would most likely go back to shooting if she heard a gun go off. She glanced towards him, “Do you need a personal body guard?” she playfully teased, giving him a teasing wink, switching her weight against the counter.

A movement caught Rayne's eye, and she turned her head in that direction, seeing a man raise his hand after she asked for a volunteer to help her with bringing food back from the food court. He introduced himself as Sebastian, and said that he was ex-Army and had known how to shoot a gun since he was twelve. Rayne nodded her head. "Thanks," she said. She was glad for the help, it would take longer if she had to make two trips back by herself, and they might not have time for that. But she wasn't willing to take along someone that couldn't handle a gun, it would be too big a risk for them to go out.
Hearing someone else speak up, Rayne quickly scanned the group until she spotted the guy with the hand sanitizer, asking that he wasn't going to turn into a zombie because he'd punched one of them and got blood on his hand. Rayne frowned and walked over to him. "Here, let me see your hand,' Rayne asked. She quickly looked at it, then shook her head. "No, you're fine. There's no bite or scratches, and there's not an open wound on your hand, so you don't have anything to worry about," she said. "But uh, I would suggest not punching any more. It doesn't do much good and only puts you more at risk for infection," she suggested.
As she turned to walk off from him, Sebastian caught up with her. Saying he had a few questions. Rayne had expected that, she just wasn't sure how to answer some of them. But luckily the question he asked was an easy enough one to answer. Well, compared to the ones she was dreading being asked. "No, I don't mind," she said quickly, shaking her head. "As for if it's spread outside of this town. . . it has spread. But I don't know how far. On our way here, we passed through a couple pf towns that had already been infected, couldn't find anything but zombies." Rayne frowned. "We tried to warn some of the surroundings town, but didn't do much good. We knew they'd never believe the zombie thing, so we tried to tell the cops that there had been a dangerous chemical leak and just that it could be deadly. They didn't bother to listen." And now they were probably either zombies or getting munched on by zombies because of that.
Rayne shook he head, trying not to think about it. There was only so much her and Ice could do. Umbrella would be sending in crews to clean up the messes, but it wouldn't be pretty when they got there. "Name's Rayne, by the way," she added. "Let me grab some ammo and we'll head to the food court. I used all of mine up on the way in here," Rayne said. With that, she quickly headed around the store and gathered up some ammo, plus an extra gun or two. Then she paused and grabbed a couple of bags to put the food in. "Alright, let's go then," Rayne said as she walked back over to Sebastian, handing him half of the bags she'd gotten. She walked over and raised the security gate, ducking underneath it. Then she turned and waited for Sebastian, and saw Ice head out.
"Uh, Ice?"
"What?" Ice asked, annoyed to have to stop before heading off.
"You're going to look for another way out, right? Wouldn't it he helpful to take someone that knows the mall a little bit better than you?" she asked.
Ice snorted. "I can find my way around just fine alone," Ice said dryly.
Rayne sighed. "I know you can. But we're in a hurry, remember?" Rayne sighed. "Why don't you ask one of those guys that you found if they can help you look?" Rayne suggested.
Ice gave a sarcastic laugh at that. "One of them is busy," she pointed out, nodding her head towards where Nate and Amelia were talking. "And the other one," Ice rolled her eyes as she glanced at Guy. "Yeah, I'm not asking Funny Boy to go with me. I'd rather get eaten by zombies. And besides, I'm sure he's too much of a scaredy cat to want to go anywhere near the make-believe zombies," Ice said, purposely raising her voice loud enough for Guy to hear her.
Rayne sighed, shaking her head as Ice turned and headed off. Rayne turned and headed off in the opposite direction. Luckily, she'd passed the food court earlier, so she already knew where it was. Rayne was quiet for a minute as she walked, looking around for any zombies stumbling their way. Glancing over at Sebastian, Rayne realized how suspicious her and Ice probably looked to everyone. "I'm sure it probably seems a little. . . uh, odd, for me and Ice to know all about this. I can't really explain right now, but we are just trying to help everyone," Rayne said, shrugging her shoulders. It didn't take long to reach the food court, and Rayne shot a few zombies stumbling around the tables and chairs. "I don't think I need to tell you what food is best to grab, right?" she asked as she headed into the kitchen of one of the restaurants making up the food court. When she reached the kitchen, the first thing she grabbed was a couple of can openers, and then began shoving various cans and boxes into her bags.
For the most part, the trip to the food court was mostly uneventful, just a few zombies here and there. And that worried Rayne. It gave her a sinking feeling that the trip back might not be as easy.

Pepper remained quiet as Rayne explained what was going on, but she was barely listening. She already knew what, and who, had caused this mess. She just. . . had hoped it would never actually come to this. The guilt ate away at her, so bad that it made her stomach hurt. She kept wondering if there had been anything she could have done differently that would have saved all of those people that had been infected by zombies. She'd tried. . . well, she'd tried everything she could think of, but nothing worked. Nobody listened to her. Why should they? They never had before. Still, there should have been something she could have done to avoid this.
Shaking her head at the thoughts, Pepper tried to convince herself that she needed to focus on the present. She couldn't save those already infected, but she needed to do something to help those that hadn't been. But at the moment, there wasn't much to do. Sighing in frustration, Pepper looked around at the others there. She needed to keep her mind busy. Just sitting there would drive her nuts. So, she picked the first person that she spotted. A blonde guy that was standing not that far away from the brunette that had told everyone else what was going on.
"Hey," Pepper said as she walked over and stopped a few feet away from Ashton. "Name's Pepper." Well, now it was, anyway. Clearing her throat, Pepper looked around and then back to him. "Seems like some kind of bad horror movie, huh?" she said, trying to make some kind of conversation.

Chase ran his hand through his hair, listening to the brunette explain what was going on. He'd heard of some of the stuff Umbrella was responsible for. But this was a new one. He pushed away from the counter and quickly made his way through the store, grabbing a bag and filling it with ammo and extra guns. He didn't want to run out of those when they went to escape the mall. Chase was a good shot, so at least he had that going for him.
After he'd filled the bag with as much ammo as he could, he started looking around at the others there. During his short time working in the mall, Chase had tried to make some friends. Get to know everyone there. Find out some clues. But he hadn't worked fast enough. And the guilt only doubled when he realized that most of those people he'd managed to become friends with, wasn't there. He hoped they were somewhere else, safe and sound, but he had a bad feeling they weren't.
He did recognize a pair of siblings though. Angel and Ashton. The pink haired girl was speaking with Ashton, and Chase looked at Angel for a second before deciding to go over to her. "Hey, you alright?" he asked. Hmm, alright, stupid question. "I'm uh, I'm Chase, I work at the novelty shop, Count's Gifts," he added, not sure if she'd remember him or not. He'd only spoken to her a couple of times when she'd came into the store, after all.

Hearing one of the guys ask a question, about not turning into a zombie because he'd punched one, Jaz crinkled her nose. "Ew, you touched one?" Jaz asked. "I wouldn't touch those things for anything. The one that came at me I just hit with a plant," Jaz said, shrugging her shoulders. "Actually I might have to do that again because I've never even seen a gun before, except for in movies. Well, unless you count nail guns. Got forced to use one of those a couple of years ago," Jaz rambled, "that didn't go so well. Accidentally shot someone in the foot with the nail. Probably shouldn't risk it with a gun," she added, shrugging again.
Pursing her lips, Jasmine looked around the store, at the small group of survivors there. "I'm Jaz, by the way," she said. "You don't think this is all that's left of the town, do you?" Jaz asked the guy.

Ciara gave a light shrug of her shoulders when Q asked who wouldn't be interested in hearing what she had to say. Or, what the 'second most brilliant mind behind Umbrella' had to say, according to Q. Ciara always thought Q gave her too much credit in that department, she was a good assistant, she'd admit that much. But only because she did what Q told her to do, and she understood what he meant. Q was The Doctor that was actually created such interesting things, and even the first zombie. Which, while the zombies scared the crap out of Ciara, she found them interesting. She always hated when someone blamed the zombie outbreak on Q. He'd only done what he was told, Ciara argued, he wasn't the one that had released the zombie. That was Umbrella's fault for not handling it more carefully as far as she was concerned. And she thought that the fact that Q had managed to create the zombies meant that he might be on the brink of creating cures for all kind of diseases that had been incurable up until then.
Ciara shook off the thoughts, watching as Q dug around in his stuff in the next set of seats, until he found what he was looking for. Watching curiously as he headed up to the front again, only cringing once when she was worried it would make Jayne snap at him again. But as far as she could hear, Jayne didn't say anything. He must have put the Ipod on shuffle, she realized, as Voltaire's Cannibal Buffet started playing over the speakers. Ironic really, considering the circumstances of the situation. She glanced up towards the front, wondering how well Jayne would handle it if Johnny Cash's Ring Of Fire came on, or. . . some of her '80s music, like the theme from Footloose. Hopefully he wouldn't shoot her Ipod.
She snapped out of the thoughts about music when she realized that Q had pointed his camera at her and began talking, using his signature over dramatic voice, of course. Something Ciara had came to expect whenever Q had a camera in his hands. And asking how she was coping with the zombie apocalypse. "Uh, well-" Ciara cleared her throat and quickly tried to figure out the best way to answer without making herself look like an idiot on camera. If Q ever did release the film, she didn't want to be remembered as the blue haired girl who rambled incoherently. Not rambling however, was not something Ciara could avoid. "Ah, well, I'm coping with it as good as anyone can. At least I know what's happening, not just unsuspectingly sitting in my living room as a zombie wanders in. And I feel like I'm doing something to help by uh- helping those hunting them down as they try to make things right again and save those that haven't been infected already," Ciara rambled.
"And sure it's. . . scary, facing dead people that eat other people, but it's worth it to do something good. In the big picture and all, right? And besides, it's kind of interesting, in. . . well, in I guess a morbid sense, but interesting nonetheless, to see what modern science can do in the hands of someone with a brilliant mind and capable of creating pretty much anything they set their mind to," Ciara continued to ramble. Then she ran out of things to say, so she capped it off with a cheesey smile.

Nate starred at Amelia as she took his cigarette and hit it before offering it back to him. Her answer to his question implied she knew how to handle a gun without really saying it outright. He wondered if it was cause she was trying to be mysterious or because she had secrets. Well everybody had secrets but most peoples secrets were pretty dull. She certainly didn't seem like the dull type, and Nate was glad he'd found someone interesting to spend some time with. It seemed like Guy had taken to trying to drive Ice crazy, and Nate wasn't interested in getting in the middle of that. She mentioned that smoking caused ling cancer and he smirked. “Yeah and a whole lot of other shit too, but we're probably going to be eaten by zombies so we won't have to worry about that.” He said taking the cigarette back from here. “And if you wanted one all you had to do was ask.” He said before taking another drag on the square. The gun felt heavy in his pocket, and every time he thought about the weight of it he thought about what he'd done last time he'd held one of these. He could still see that man's face and it made his stomach twist and sicken. She asked if he needed a body guard and she shook his head. “I think I can handle myself.” He said before flashing a smirk. “But if you'd like to give me some extra will to live how about you let me take you out for a proper date once this zombie mess is all sorted out?” He asked hoping it wouldn't take too long for his life to get back to normal again.

“Ah hah!” Guy said as he listened in on Rayne and Ice's conversation. “If I'm “funny boy” then that means you think I'm funny.” He said with mock proud. “And that attempt to like reverse psychology me into joining your mission to find a door with an exit sign above it means that deep down you want my help.” He added grinning. “And I know what you're thinking, wow funny and brilliant all wrapped up in one, extremely, attractive package, right? But to answer your questions that you didn't ask yet, no you're not dreaming I really am this awesome, and yes Ice, I will help you find a way out zombieland here.” Guy said choosing to ramble on and try and find a new way to poke the bear currently known as Ice, when a simple, sure I'll go, type answer would've worked much better.

EJ felt a small wave of relief when Rayne told him he wasn't infected with some zombie virus. He muttered a thank you and tried not to roll his when she said punching zombies in the face wasn't the most effective way to deal with them. He'd pretty much figured that out by now and at the time his first thought hadn't been zombie. He grabbed the first handgun he saw and quickly figured out how to load the thing. One of the other survivors, Jazz, mentioned how gross it was that he'd touched one. “You're telling me, I thought it was just some nut celebrating Halloween a bit early until half his face splattered all over my hand.” EJ said and suddenly wished he had more hand sanitizer, even talking about it was gross. She had also mentioned accidentally shooting someone with a nail gun and he made a mental note to make sure he stood behind her if she ever picked up a gun. She'd asked if he thought this was all the survivors for the town and he gave a small shrug. “I guess, I mean if there's zombies every where like they said, I mean I've seen the movies it usually doesn't turn out well for most people.” He added before covering his mouth with his arm and sneezing a couple times. He felt chills on the back of his neck and he wanted desperately to do something, he hoped helping kill zombies or something could help take his mind off the pills he was craving.

Sebastian nodded as Rayne explained the situation. He appreciated that she had answered his question and from what he could tell, and Sebastian knew how to spot a lair, she had answered his question honestly. He could signs of remorse when she spoke of the other towns she'd seen get destroyed by zombies and he decided that her and Ice really were there to help and he could trust them, at least for now. He grabbed the bags she'd handed him and made sure the safety was off on his main gun before following her out of the store. He'd expected this to be a silent mission but Rayne started explaining how she couldn't really explain how they knew all about zombies right now. Sebastian nodded. “I believe you, and I get that right now is not the time for twenty questions. Primary objective is to make sure we get all these people out of here and someplace safe, or at least safer than this. I can operate just fine on a need to know basis as long as I believe your intentions are to help rather than harm.” He said as he kept his eyes peeled and his other senses on alert for any zombies. They came across a few here and there and put two rounds into every undead brain he saw unless Rayne shot them first.
He nodded in response to her assumption, he knew what food to grab, things that were easy to eat and didn't expire for a while. He signaled that he would take the left side and silently made his way through the food court. He hadn't spotted any zombies in the food court yet and he didn't want to give away his location if there were any. He quickly filled up his food bags with canned goods and boxes of pasta, bags of rice and some pre-wraped muffins and various other foods like them.

When the song Cannibal Buffet began playing over the car's stereo both Q and Jayne said “That's kind of ironic.” At the exact same time.
“Jinx you owe me a soda!” Q shouted almost immediately. “No wait scratch that, I want more red bull!” Q said almost as loud as his first statement but not quite.
“Yeah this right here, the exact reason we are not picking up any more damn Red Bull.” Jayne shot back. “We don't have time anyway we're already late for meeting Myra because somebody spilled toxic chemicals all over our original car and I had to steal a new one.” Jayne said reminding Q of the early incident where he'd spilled some chemicals that had created an impossible to see threw gas that filled the car. Jayne nearly crashed into a pole and was still not to happy about it. Jayne hated being late, and he hated disappointing Myra.
“Some of us are just trying to cure the zombie thing.” Q grumbled as he shut the camera of. He looked over at Ciara and gave an enthusiastic grin. “Very good answer, thanks.” He said setting the camera down.
“You mean the zombies you made, hell if you hadn't made 'em we wouldn't be driving around the damn country cleaning up your mess.” Jayne said smiling a bit when he heard a Johnny Cash song start playing. Now this was more his style.
Q said nothing to Jayne's last comment. Didn't they know he already felt bad enough about this? He wanted to cure disease not create more of them but the Bosses wanted him to keep going and the science was so fascinating he couldn't help himself. It was like he was the proverbial cat but his curiosity could kill everyone. He stopped thinking for a second, he liked that, he'd have to remember that when he interviewed himself. “So have some rather eclectic taste in music huh?” He said to Ciara.

Ashton just wanted to give Amelia time with er. . . He was almost positive that he said he’s name was Nate, and she seemed to enjoy talking to someone. She was his best friend, so he tended to do a lot of things for her. He was glad that she wasn’t one of them, he didn’t think he would be able to shoot her. He knew her on a personal level and didn’t know any of the people of died, that well. He’d seen them around, but it didn’t really faze him.
When he heard a voice he glanced over, “Hey.” he responded to her hey and then listened to her introduce her name and then her tell him that it was some kind of horror movie, he let out a chuckle, “Yeah, kind of creepy.” he commented and that’s when he realized that he hadn’t responded with his name, he kind of got distracted by her bad horror movie comment. “And nice to meet you Pepper, I’m Ashton.” he said, then ran a hand through his brunette hair. “I wonder if they find a way out.” he playfully teased, as if they was trapped her. He wondered if that Guy dude knew

Angelina never really felt so guilty in her entire life, she was just in a pile of self-loathing mess. The words from the brunette female that was in ‘charge’ kept relaying in her head. Someone who she was knew killed her baby sister, she thought that was sick. What if it was the old priest, wondered if he was up in heaven if his spirit was still there kicking himself. Or maybe he was in heaven and he was ripped out because his body was now active again.
She heard a guy who was familiar and she looked up, “Hey, yeah.” she replied back to him. The yeah was that she was okay because she was alive. And then she heard him introduce himself and she nodded, “I know, nice to meet you outside the novelty shop. I’m Angel.” she replied back to him.
