Amelia noticed that he kinda just started at her when she snatched his cigarette away from him, it would be mean of her not to give it back and break it, but she wasn’t going to be that mean. She didn’t really try being mysterious but she tried to keep most of her secrets under wraps so she doesn’t have her past all out in the opening. People would probably start thinking of her different, it might actually feel awkward for her. She listened to his response and tilted her head, “Well maybe, I’m at least going down swinging.” she said, playfully. She probably knew intellectually that anyone in that small group could die from this infestation. She heard him telling her that she could have asked and she shook her head, “Nah, I just wanted a hit.” she said, she’d had quite a few already trying to calm her stress to gather the camp food and some of the guns in bags. She listened to his response to needing a body guard, she let out a small giggle, “We’ll see.” she playfully teased. Then she heard him ask her out on a date, which slightly surprised her, lifting an eyebrow, “Sure, it’ll be fun.” she replied back to him.

Rayne quickly took the right side of the food court, filling the bags with the food she came across that she knew would be best for what the group needed it for. Staying quiet as she did so and listening for anything that would tell her that there might be a zombie nearby. But just because she was quiet, didn't mean that Rayne's brain wasn't working overtime. Hopefully Ice found a way out of here quickly, she was anxious to get the group out of the mall. She knew it wouldn't be long before more zombies got in, and before Myra and company arrived. But just because they got out of the mall, didn't mean the group was safe. If they could avoid being seen by Myra, then maybe they had a chance. If she spotted them. . . well, things would get messy.
Once she'd finished filling the bags up, Rayne took one more look around. It looked like that was everything she could see that might be needed. She was just getting ready to head over to Sebastian and see if he was done and ready to go, when a noise caught her attention. It was light, but she hadn't missed it. It sounded like a box being kicked, like maybe someone had accidentally stumbled into it. Rayne paused, looking in the direction it had came from. Rayne stood in front of a counter, and at the end of the counter was a door that led into a pantry area. Rayne hadn't bothered going in there because she had found enough stuff in the cabinets and counters. If it were only a zombie, it wasn't worth trying to kill because she was living, but she didn't know if might be a survivor that was hiding. And Rayne didn't want to leave a survivor behind.
So, Rayne sat the bags on the counter and moved towards the pantry carefully, and keeping her gun aimed out in front of her, Rayne made her way towards the pantry. Slowly moving to the doorway, Rayne looked to the left first. The room was dim, only one bare bulb hanging from the ceiling lit the room. All she saw on that side of the room was just boxes and food stacked on shelves. Just as Rayne turned to check the other side of the pantry, a fist collided with her cheek, quickly followed by a foot to the stomach that successfully knocked Rayne off of her feet and sent her landing on her back on the floor. The air got knocked out of her lungs, but the flash of red hair she caught warned Rayne that she didn't need to try to catch it. Instead, Rayne quickly rolled to the side, kicking her foot out and knocking Myra's legs out from under her. Myra fell backwards, her gun going off and the bullet hitting the ceiling and sending plaster falling around them.
Rayne tried to scramble to her feet, but Myra tackled her, knocking her back onto the ground. She grabbed Rayne's wrist, knocking the gun out of her hand, and knocking it just out of reach. And the two started fighting. Both of them were good fighters, and almost equally matched. Except that Myra tended to fight dirty, which was why she had no problem slamming Rayne's head against the ground. Then she scrambled off of her and grabbed her own gun, aiming it at Rayne.
Getting her head slammed against the ground sent stars into Rayne's vision, but she quickly tried to shake it off and move, but before she could, Myra had her gun aimed at her. Rayne's own gun was laying on the floor just out of reach. She didn't have a chance of lunging for it, and Myra stood just out of reach as well. Rayne froze, then tried another tactic. "Look, Myra, we're just trying to help get the survivors out. You're here to kill the zombies. Let's just do our own things, huh?" Rayne said. She knew it wouldn't do any good, but she was trying to stall Myra until she could figure a way out of this.
Myra rolled her eyes. "Oh please, you know I'm here to do more than that. We can't have any witnesses. Company rules. And uh," Myra smirked. "You and Ice broke some of the biggest company rules, so I really don't have a choice. Sorry," Myra said, though clearly she wasn't. There wasn't really any love lost between Rayne and Myra, they've never gotten along, and things had only gotten worse over the past few months.

Pepper gave a small smile to Ashton when he introduced himself, and then he added that he wondered if Ice and Guy would find a way out. "I hope they do," Pepper said. She frowned for a moment looking around the room, and than back to Ashton. "I heard that uh, that there's some kind of old tunnels under the mall. Maybe they'll find those," Pepper said, then she paused and looked back to Ashton. "I don't guess you know anything about them, do you?" she asked.
Pepper had been in town for a few weeks, and she'd been trying to do a little research on the town. And she'd heard rumors about the tunnels beneath the mall that spanned the distance of most of the city, but she hadn't had time to try to find an access point to them yet. That had actually. . .well, been why Pepper was in the mall today. From what she'd found, there was suppose to be two access points in the mall. But she didn't know where they were at. And searching the mall for them wasn't exactly easy, after all.
It was only a moment after Pepper had spoken when she heard the noise. She looked up, and flinched. The security gate that had been keeping the zombies that had arrived and been hanging around since the others left, had somehow gotten pulled up, and zombies were beginning to stumble into the store. There wasn't a lot, maybe about a dozen. But it was more than there should be in the store. Cursing, Pepper turned and grabbed one of the guns off the counter and quickly loaded it. She really should have done that sooner, but she hadn't thought the zombies would get the gate open.

Jaz frowned, crinkling her nose up again when EJ said that the zombie he'd punched had splattered his face on EJ's hand. "Ew," she said. There was a visual she could have done without. Although Jaz thought that it really wouldn't matter anyway, she already had the picture of the zombies she'd seen so far stuck in her head, playing on a constant loop that she was pretty sure wouldn't be going away anytime soon. She tried to distract herself from it, watching as EJ started trying to figure out how to load a gun. Jaz knew the brunette had suggested everyone get a gun and ammo, but Jaz was pretty sure if she tried it would only lead to more problems for the group. Jaz plus a gun equaled lots of injuries, she was sure of it.
Jaz frowned again, but nodded her head. "Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I think in the zombie movies, there's always only one small group of survivors that has to try to get somewhere safe. Ugh, I hope this isn't like the movies though," she muttered. Especially since in most of the movies, the blonde girl usually got eaten. Jaz had no intentions of getting eaten, thank you very much. Or turning into one of those gross people.
Jaz looked back to EJ again, frowning. "Hey, you alright?" she asked. There was something a little. . off, about EJ. But she couldn't quite figure out what it was. Maybe it was just nervous, she thought. Her own nerves were about to hit the ceiling. A noise caught Jaz's attention and she looked in that direction, which turned out to be towards the front of the store. There had been a few zombies mulling around outside the gate since the others had left, and Jaz didn't know how it had happened, but they'd somehow gotten the gate open, and zombies were starting to stumble into the store. "Alright, that's not good," Jaz said.

"Yeah, I uh, I remember," Chase said, shrugging his shoulders when Angel introduced herself. It was kind of an easy name to remember, and well, actually so was Angel herself. Chase cleared his throat and looked away for a moment, towards the others there and then back to Angel. "I'm uh, I'm sure they'll find a way out, or something," he said. He wasn't sure why he decided to just start talking to her. Maybe because she looked upset and Chase was just trying to be nice and help.
Chase did always try to help when he could. But even the thought of that made the guilt worse. That he should have done something more to try to prevent this. Clearing his throat, he started talking again. "Who knows? Maybe they'll find those tunnels or whatever it is that's suppose to be under the mall," Chase said. "You know, if they-" Chase started to say but trailed off, hearing a metal noise. He looked up, just in time to see three zombies stumble in under the security gate that had somehow gotten pulled up. The three zombies were quickly followed by several more, making their way into the store.
Cursing, Chase quickly pulled his gun out of his waistband and shot a few of the zombies that were closest to him. He was a good aim, but he didn't like having to start shooting zombies in a store with the other people around, not wanting to risk and hit someone else by accident.

Ciara giggled, and then coughed to try to hide it, when both Q and Jayne pointed out how ironic the song was, at the same time. More irony. Ciara chuckled again, shaking her head when Q yelled that it was a jinx and now Jayne owed him a soda. . . which he then quickly changed to a Red Bull. Which Jayne shot down almost instantly. Mentioning that they didn't have time anyway because they were running late for meeting Myra. Ciara cringed at the mention of Myra. Ciara hadn't missed her not being there, and she was really dreading seeing just how angry Myra would probably be at their being late.
The scene of when Q had spilled the chemicals in the car that caused the gas that had been impossible to see through to fill the car, and nearly caused Jayne to crash the car, had been chaotic at the time. But in hindsight, it was actually kind of funny, but Ciara struggled not to giggle at it. It had just been an accident, but she was pretty sure Jayne hadn't been that happy with it. And since Ciara tried so hard to make Jayne forget she was even there, she didn't want to get yelled at for thinking it was funny. Plus too, she didn't want The Doctor to think she was laughing at him. Because, well, she wasn't. It was just the situation, after all.
She grinned at Q when he told her that she'd gave a good answer, but then frowned towards the front seat when Jayne blamed Q for the zombie outbreak. Ciara hated when people did that. Which was probably why she spoke before thinking. "It was Umbrella that let the zombies get out. They were suppose to keep an eye on them, and besides, the Bosses were the ones that told Q to do the experiments in the first place," Ciara said. Ciara normally didn't speak directly to Jayne, so she surprised herself when she said that. But it was just sort of a knee-jerk reaction whenever someone blamed Q for what had happened. Especially when she knew that he felt bad enough about it already, and that he had only been trying to do something good. And, the fact that Q hadn't said anything to Jayne's comment to defend himself, made Ciara want to take up for him.
Hearing Q's comment about her taste in music, Ciara's cheeks felt a little hot and she shrugged her shoulders. "Yeah, I guess. I just. . . well, I like a large variety of things. Something for every mood and situations, ya know? I love having a song for whatever is going on and that seems to fit my mood perfectly. Which is weird really that there's always a song for it out there somewhere, you just have to find it. I have a ton of country and rock, and a little disco, and stuff from the eighties, and uh. . . some theme songs. Like the song from Addams family, that one gets stuck in my head a lot. And there's also some pop, and metal. I think I have every song of Nickelback and Maroon Five on there," Ciara rambled. She suddenly remembered another song and her eyes widened for just a second, then she let out a low chuckle and lowered her voice so Jayne wouldn't overhear her. "I think I even have a couple of Britney Spears and N'Sync songs on there," she added.

Ice rolled her eyes at Guy's rambling as he followed her. Oh, Rayne was so going to pay for this. She already had a nice little revenge plotted out for her dear friend. She was going to hog tie both Rayne and Guy and stick them in a room together. That way Rayne would see what she had to deal with, and would probably be more than willing to let Ice shoot him. Guy was rambling about himself, big surprise there, and Ice gritted her teeth to resist the urge to just clock him right then and there. She suddenly stopped walking and spun around to face him. "I wish I was dreaming, so that I could shoot you without getting in trouble with Rayne for it," Ice said. She glared at Guy. "It was Rayne's idea for you to come with me. Not mine. I will kick your ass all the back to the gun store if you keep it up," she threatened.
With that, Ice turned and marched off. She knew Guy was purposely trying to bug her, and while she knew that maybe ignoring him altogether would be the better route to take, she simply didn't have the patience for it. Ice wasn't a patience person on a regular day, but take a day like today? Yeah, she was barely keeping from losing her temper altogether. She hadn't slept in over 24 hours, her head was killing her, she had a foot cramp, her stomach was growling and reminding her she hadn't ate in at least 36 hours, and then that had only been a stale package of crackers. All of it together made for one very cranky Ice.
They needed to find a way out to get everyone to some place safer, and the bonus of realizing that meant she wouldn't be stuck alone with Guy, Ice decided to at least attempt to work with him. "The front and back doors are blocked with zombies. There's a whole freaking army of them in the parking lot. So those exits are out," Ice said. She stopped walking, a sound catching her attention. It was that moan/growl sound that zombies tended to make, and it sounded like a lot of them. Frowning, Ice walked forward, and rounded a corner where the sound was coming from. She expected to find a couple of zombies, but she found more than she'd been expecting. There was a dozen, at least, and they were getting into the mall through the fire exit. The door was shoved open, and Ice could see more zombies stumbling towards the door out in the parking lot. Well, that explained why there was so many freaking zombies in the mall, they just kept getting in. One of the zombies Ice spotted, made her stomach knot with guilt. It was the security guard she and Rayne had encountered right after reaching the mall. They'd sent him to close this door, and Ice had completely forgotten about him. She shouldn't have sent them here by himself. But she'd thought the exit door would already be closed and easy enough for him to secure. But, she had been wrong, and now she'd have to deal with the guilt. And now she had to shoot him along with the other zombies because it was too late to anything else for him.
Ice shot a few of the zombies, but as more began to stumble in, it was going to be pretty much pointless. Eventually she'd run out of ammo, and then they'd have to run. Unless, they could get the door closed, but getting past the zombies to the door to close it wouldn't be an easy task. But they couldn't just leave it open like that, if the zombies kept getting in at this rate, it would be nearly impossible, even with the store full of ammo, to get out of the mall alive. Sighing, Ice rolled her eyes and turned to face Guy. She remembered that he claimed to know how to shoot a gun when she'd asked a few moments ago. Well, she hoped he was telling the truth and his aim was good. "You-" -she pointed her finger at him- "-start shooting the zombies. Shoot them in the head, otherwise it's just a waste of bullets. I'll try to get to the door and get it closed." Ice paused, then shot Guy a warning glare. "And you'd better not miss and nail me or I'm going to be very pissed off," she warned. Then with that, and without waiting for an answer, Ice turned and shot a couple more nearby zombies and dodged around others as she started trying to make her way over to the door. Without getting bit or eaten, hopefully. Had it been Rayne with her, they both would have went for the door, but Ice didn't trust Guy to let him that close to the zombies. . . and she didn't trust him not to purposely shove her into one to save his own ass.

Sebastian gathered food and some bottled drinks until the bags he had were filled, it didn't take long there was plenty of food in the mall. He slug the duffel bags over his shoulder and looked around to see if there was anything else lying around they might need. He grabbed a can opener, a couple pairs of scissors and some matches and shoved them into one of the bags. He was a little surprised that he hadn't run into any zombies while in the food court, then again it didn't seem to have the sort of food they'd want. Well except for him and Rayne. He wondered where she was, he was finished gathering up supplies and he doubted this place would stay zombie free for much longer. He heard a loud sound, like something hitting the floor hard. His first thought was that Rayne must have found some zombies but he didn't hear any shots fired. That was clearly a bad sign. Sebastian hurried off in the direction of the sound, pulling his gun out as he ran. He used his other hand to hang on to the straps of the bags on his shoulders. When he saw a redheaded woman holding a gun on Rayne, he pointed his own gun at the woman.
“Don't-.” He started to warn the other woman not to make any sudden movements but when he finally recognized the face he lowered his gun and starred at her, slightly confused. “Myra?” He asked not sure if he'd ran into some crazy doppelganger, or some kind of hallucination or if she really was here. He was so confused, why was she holding a gun on Rayne? Then he figured it out, obviously she thought Rayne must be a zombie. “Don't shoot, she's not a zombie, she's here to help.” He said quickly. Sebastian was a bit shocked, he hadn't seen Myra in years and it was too crazy of a coincidence that they both happened to be in some middle of nowhere town that zombies happened to attack. He set the bags of supplies he was caring down on the floor and holstered his gun. “What are you just standing there for? Don't you have a hug for your brother?” He asked with a smile.

Nate started to reply to Amelia when zombies started stumbling through the door. He hadn't even noticed that they were near the store, and he wondered how they'd managed to open the gate. Weren't these things supposed to be brain dead? He quickly realized he didn't have time to think about that when he noticed a couple of them headed his way. Nate reacted quickly drawing his gun and pointing it at the closest zombie and wrapping his finger around the trigger, everything in him screamed at him to pull that trigger back and send the small bullet into the zombie's brain. He could see the zombies brown eyes, there was no light in them, no spark or soul left in the body, but even as he realized this he still couldn't make his finger squeeze that trigger. He was frozen, he couldn't even blink, his vision began to blur and his hands started to sweat. All he could think about was the last time he'd seen eyes that dead, only that time he'd watched the light go out of them. The guilt of that memory washed over him, he felt cold and sick. He deserved this, to be eaten alive, to suffer slowly until he died and rose again just so someone could put a bullet into his brain. He'd taken another man's life all for the contents of his wallet; a while fifty bucks and a stick of gum. Something tackled him from the side, another zombie, as they hit the floor he saw jagged teeth snapping at him and he snapped out of his trance. He smacked the zombies face with the gun and knocked it off of him. He pointed his gun at this new zombie, he really didn't want to die like this but he couldn't find the strength to pull that trigger back.

Ashton gave her a smile in reply, it was nice to smile again to someone that he barely knew. He heard her comment and gave a nod, “Indeed.” and then he heard that she has heard about the tunnels and gave a slight nod, “In my younger years, I went down there to do not-so-innocent things.” he answered her, with a small shrug. It really wasn’t a big deal about what he did. And plus, he was interested in them because it had something to do with beer and stuff. It was a nice place to drink, party and then crash. Plus, he could always go take a shower at home and then go to work. It wasn’t anything to do in town, so that was like the huge deal for the town, in Ashton’s opinion. He’s never seen this woman that he’s standing next too just two weeks before this little….problem. He didn’t notice the noise, he was looking out the side, trying to remember where the entrance when he heard Pepper’s cussing, which caused him to look towards the gate and noticed the zombies. When seeing three zombies about three, he started aiming and firing at the zombies and climbing on the counter to get a bird’s eye view. This gave him an advantage over the zombies, and he started dropping some. He notice one going towards Angel and dropped it before Angel really noticed them. He rolled his eyes at that, he was worried that he would have to spend this entire time protecting her butt because she was terrified of guns and stuff.

Angel heard him and gave him a smile, so he remembered her. She supposed her name was pretty easy, but maybe he thought she was pretty. She mentally shrugged those thoughts away. She heard him and gave a nod, “Maybe that Guy dude and Ice will find them.” she replied to him. She heard him, she was trying really hard not to turn around. Because she knew that if she did, she would freeze. When she turned around, she saw a zombie drop in front of her. Her eyes went wide, quickly locating her brother and they shared eye contact before she noticed that Ashton went back to aiming at zombies and shooting them. She would thank him later for filtering the herd down later. She took a step backwards. She had no idea how to load, aim or shoot a gun. She was out of her set of skills. And then she piped in, “can someone please close the gate? Maybe it’ll help. I don’t know, I’m kinda no help here.” she started spazzing. She didn’t want to die.

Amelia noticed the noise and glanced over towards the gate, muttering not very nice words. She saw that Nate raised his gun, so she started working her way towards the gate and was shooting them off. She really thought she was dead as she was going to get. She looked back to and was taking steps backwards to get out of people’s way and so Ashton could take over. She hurried and reloaded her gun and by the time she got to him, she noticed that he had gotten himself into a sticky situation. Nasty Zombies was around him, she let out a sigh, well she knew if she left him to see how he did, he probably wouldn’t make it and that means no date. So she did the honorable thing. She pulled one zombie off of him, shooting him in the head shortly after before pushing the other zombie away before shooting him in the head. After getting all the zombies away, she overed her free hand, “You’re okay. You wasn’t scratched or biten, huh?” she asked him, keeping her senses highten. She was slightly nervous, she wondered if someone was going to go over there and get the gate closed.

EJ shrugged at Jaz's question. “I'm fine.” He snapped, of course he wasn't alright there were zombies attacking the mall and he hadn't had a damn pill all day even though he had plenty in his pocket. EJ looked over to where Jaz was looking and instantly pointed the gun at one of the zombies. He squeezed the trigger slowly as he aimed the gun at the spot between the zombies eyes. The gun went of with a loud noise and the bullet shot through the zombies left eye. The undead thing crumpled to the ground while pieces of it's skull and brain matter splattered the zombies behind it. Now that was cool, EJ smiled to himself and fired a few more rounds, and most of his shots were dead on. This felt right, powerful it was like playing Black Opps in real life. “Okay, that was freaking awesome.” He said to himself. Then he glanced over at Jaz. "You should try it, shootin' zombies is just as much fun as it sounds." He said with a small grin.

Guy chuckled a bit at Ice's threats, he was about half sure that they were of the empty variety. It seemed a bit pointless for her to try and pick a fight with him when the hordes of zombies seemed to the more relevant threat. Then again he was pretty sure she was crazy and logic rarely worked on crazy people. He figured either way it would be fun to keep pushing her buttons, but he'd do it later. Allowing himself to get to distracted with his games and end up as zombie chow was not part of his life plan. Guy kept focus as they walked through the mall, gun in hand and finger on the trigger, he wasn't going to let the undead get the drop on him, plus he doubted he'd hear the end of it if Ice had to save him from zombies.
He listened closely as she broke down the situation they were all in. A whole army of zombies out there, well that was just great. When she mentioned the front and back doors were practically surrounded by zombies he immediately knew the best way out but before he had a chance to share his escape plan they stumbled upon the fire exit which looked like the zombies way into the way. She told him to shoot zombies while she tried to get the door closed. He rolled his a bit when she started telling him how to fill zombies and not to shoot her. Seriously he wasn't stupid and he'd played plenty of zombie games to know how this thing worked. “Seriously, I've got your back on this one Frosty.” Guy said as Ice headed towards the door. He fired two shoots and two zombies fell, brains leaking through the new holes in their heads. “Hey you ugly undead motherfuckers, why don't you come try and eat this brain, it's tasty.” He shouted at the hoard, trying to get there attention, many of them started moving towards him, following the noise he was making. “Here, zombie zombie...” He shouted and taunted the zombies drawing them in closer before he shot them. The closer they were the more likely he wouldn't miss and less likely they'd bite Ice. “I got mad smarts, I'm telling you there's one tasty brain in my noggin.” He shouted before beginning to become aware just how close they were getting. He smacked one in the face with his gun, getting the zombie to back up before putting a round in it's head. “Can't touch this.” He said grinning as the zombie fell.

Jayne looked back at Ciara who was kept giggling. “Is there something funny going on that I should know about or did our idiot genius spill some laughing gas.” He asked annoyed that he had to drive either of them. They weren't fighters, heck he wouldn't even trust either of them with a gun, and that made them basically useless to him. Not to mention the fact that neither one of them stayed quiet enough for him. “And for the record, Blue, your favorite scientist here might've cause the end of the world. He made the choice to keep messing with things we ain't supposed to be messing around with. He made these things and instead of working to cure it he's drinking caffeine and rambling like an idiot.” Jayne added, he was clearly feeling hostile towards the eggheads now.
“Hey I told you I need a sample of infected tissue to continue my research. So why don't you and Myra do your jobs and bring me the samples I need.” Quentin shouted back without thinking that one threw. Sure it might be a bad choice but Q didn't like it when meat-heads tried to intimidate anyone who worked with him be it his assistant or the janitors that mopped the labs. “You know I have plenty of dangerous chemicals I'd hate for any of them to find there way into your food.” He said softly.
Jayne glared at him. “Are you threatening me? I'll snap your neck and toss your body to your creatures out there.” He threatened.
The Doctor scoffed at him and rolled his eyes. “But I don't think Myra will let off her leash-” He stopped talking when Ciara's Ipod hit him in the mouth. “Ow.” He muttered as a coopery taste filled his mouth. “You made me bite my tongue.” He muttered. He checked the Ipod which seemed to still be okay and handed it back to Ciara. “It's okay I don't think the gorilla broke it. Besides I'm more of a Backstreet Boys kind of guy.” He said grinning. “Sorry, but I think we're almost there and Myra probably would've just thrown it out of the car.” He said. “I might have something to make someone immune to the virus but nothing to cure already infected.” He said searching the car for his portable microscope and placing a slide with a sample newest serum. “I just need to see how it reacts with the virus before we test it on a person.”
