Rainer narrowed his eyes at Spike. His patience was wearing extremely thin with the vampire. First, he didn't get there until late, and then he starts shooting off his mouth. Rainer wasn't surprised, he'd really expected as much, but that didn't help to keep his temper under control. He glared at the vampire for several moments without saying anything, and fully aware that both Rattlesnake and Dru were carefully listening in on the conversation. The last thing Rainer wanted to do tell them the truth about Cici, at least not before he got his hands on her. And Rainer didn't like it that he had to resort to vampires to getting the damn girl for him in the first place. But he did need them to. Sure, he could just kill Spike, and he'd just kill Dru while he was at it as well, and send Rattlesnake after the girl, and find someone else to replace Spike and Dru. But, he didn't trust that Rattlesnake could get the girl, and it would take too long to get someone else to replace Spike and Dru. And that was time that Rainer didn't have. He was running on a tight schedule as it was. He did, however, decide that he would make Spike regret speaking to him like that. Soon. As soon as he had the girl.
"You can try to kill me, but I can guarantee that both you and your girlfriend will be dead before you ever get a chance to get close enough," Rainer threatened, his tone both annoyance and deadly. Rainer shifted his stance, crossing his arms over his chest. His temper getting the best of him, made his eyes change color, turning a blood red. Rainer didn't even notice. "You'll only know what you need to know, and nothing you say or do will change that. I'm not going to go spilling everything to some bloodsucker that thinks he can march in here and demand answers," Rainer said. "All I'll say is that she's more than just a Slayer. And I need her blood to complete a very powerful spell." Rainer wouldn't admit the main reason he needed vampires to get the girl for him. The reason was because as The Chosen One, not only did Cici have the power to open and close the Gate To Hell, but she also had the power to send a demon to Hell, just with the right spell. She was also immune to demon powers. She wasn't immune to vampires, and she couldn't send a vampire to Hell, however. Once the vampires brought Cici to his home, Rainer had cast a spell on the place, to keep Cici from being able to send Rainer anywhere, but he had to get her in the house to avoid her being able to do that. Chances are, she couldn't do it right now, if she hadn't been taught the spell by Grimm. But Rainer wasn't about to take any chances. But to explain this to Spike and Dru, and Rattlesnake, Rainer would have to admit that Cinnamon was the Chosen One. And he wasn't about to do that. Rainer wasn't an idiot. He knew that if he told the vampires who Cici really was, they might try to use her themselves.
Rainer gave a shrug of his shoulders. "You can try to get her before Rattlesnake does, and bring her to me, and get the gems to go out in the sun, plus an added bonus. Or you can turn around and leave. The decision is yours, and I'll not answer anymore questions until I have the girl." Rainer uncrossed his arms. "But, bare in mind, if you leave, I'll consider it to be crossing me. Which means that I'll make sure you live to regret to," Rainer warned, glaring at Spike. Then glanced at Dru. "But she won't," Rainer added. Rainer didn't like someone telling him off, and he liked even less when someone refused to do what he wanted. He couldn't force Spike and Dru to get Cinnamon for him. But he could make them regret not doing so. Which was why if they left town without trying to get Cinnamon for him, Rainer would send Jack to fetch Dru. And be sure to not kill her until Spike was there to see it.
With that, Rainer decided that he was done with the conversation, and turned around. Dismissing them. He'd know if they left the city limits, and if they did, that was when he'd send Jack after them. "Rattlesnake, I suggest you move quickly to bring me the girl. I'm in a hurry," Rainer said. "And surely you're scared of some little Slayer like they are, right?" Rainer said. He wasn't trying to compliment Rattlesnake, Rainer didn't compliment anyway, what he was trying to do was insult Spike. Like he thought he was afraid of Cinnamon and that was why he was arguing about getting her. Then with that Rainer went back to the basement, slamming the door shut behind him.
Dru gritted her teeth, her eyes narrowing into slits at Rattlesnake's taunting. She wanted to just ignore the bastard. But he made it nearly impossible to do so. When Rattlesnake spoke, Shadow hissed again, and Dru bit down so hard on her tongue that she tasted blood. Shadow hated Rattlesnake nearly as much as Dru did, which was probably why he'd been so determined to come inside with her, he'd already known Rattlesnake was here. She almost considered telling Rattlesnake that she was pretty sure Shadow would have no problem ripping the vampire to shreds, but she decided against it. Mostly because she would never let Shadow do such a thing. . . Shadow might get sick biting Rattlesnake, after all.
After a second, Dru forced herself to look back to Rattlesnake. "I knew you were never very smart, Rattlesnake. But you're even dumber than I thought. That's probably my hatred of you picked up on," she said. "Whatever it is, it's certainly not fear. I'm a vampire now, remember? Not a human, which is the only being pathetic enough that you can kill. You've never even managed to kill a Slayer," Dru added, deciding to do her own taunting. She knew that was a sore point with Rattlesnake, since he'd never killed one. Dru herself had killed one Slayer, and Spike had killed two Slayers.

Cinnamon had to give herself a mental pat on the back, she just dusted her first vampire. Of course, he bit her but a lot worse could have happened. Hell, a lot worse could happen, even in the current fight the little team was in. She heard Ryder shout at her, she couldn’t help but grin a cute adorable little one. “I guess, just creepy and I’m sure, Kuro doesn’t mind. She’s probably use to it.” she replied back, with a small shrug while dodging a vampire. She was just about to trust her instincts when she heard a male scream, her eyes went wide when she saw and heard a faint sound of a bone breaking. It was so creepy, it made her blood crawl. She took a step forward to tend to Ryder, when she was suddenly slammed into from behind causing her to fall forward and kinda roll a little towards a group of vampires. That’s when she realized the roll, caused her hand to open to try to catch herself and ended up being weaponless surrounded by vampires. She could hear a game show host, saying something along the lines of you are the weakest link, goodbye. And then she would be drained of all of her blood, with out a drop left, or worse. . . Become an immortal vampire and be all bloodthirsty, all the time. Never being able to realize that she may have been ripped of her soul and be a danger those of the ones that she loves and cares about. She could help but share a glance towards Ryder, then towards the vampires that was kicking her. She returned their little flavor, as she started kicking wildfully like a little toddler throwing a temper tantrum. She couldn’t always be saved and she proved that she could get lucky. She needed a stake and some practice to handle this many vampires. She closed her eyes for a moment, and then started having a sneeze attacked and opened her eyes to see her captives was now turned to dust and saw parts of dried up lava around the ashes. Kuro. She was going to have to remember to think her, still saving her life when she almost accidently killed her. She didn’t want to hurt Kuro, she cared about her. She rolled on her stomach, pushing herself up when she was being knocked back down, “fucking hell” she let out in frustration. She landed a sloppy punch on the vampires face, which only made the vampire pissed. Her heart sank, and then she kneed it in the groin and put some distance between herself and that thing. The next thing she knew, she felt a pain in her side, she glanced down and noticed there was a stake on the ground around the same time that the vampire lunged. She automatically dropped on the ground and grabbing the stake, picking herself back up and couldn’t help but to glance back towards Ryder, she wanted to make sure he was okay. She also noticed that more people arrived, but the seemed to be watching. Maybe it was there thing, she wanted to run and ask them, why. It was certainly picking her interest.

Kuro happened to look over at Cinnamon just in time to throw lava and the surrounding opponents that was fixing to do some sort of gang bang, or whatever the kids call it these days. Then she glanced over and tossed Cici a stake, as she was being slammed into a three. She got a good luck at the creatures face, she once was a pretty girl. Aside from the ugly vampire thing, she was a pretty girl with a hourglass figure. How cute, it was so cliché. This whole thing ended up feeling like some sort of bad fairy tale. It was pretty bad, especially since she didn’t really believe the whole fairy tale system. She was just a little odd with friendships and such. She wasn’t very good at the whole following ‘how-to-be-bad” and whatnot, something about following rules, just wasn’t her strong suit. She followed her morals, she didn’t drink from humans but has before. It wasn’t her fault, stuff happens to both good and bad. Those actions doesn’t automatically make her a bad vampire. She did a backflip to avoid a ‘surprise’ attack by a vampire foe. She rolled her eyes, the whole tackling was cute at first but now, it was just rude. But she suspected that with someone that doesn’t have a heart and what not. Then someone picked her up and threw her, she teleported out of the air and teleported on the ground near the newly entered vampire, she glanced over at him before running off the go fight, once again.

Billie was watching the battle, so far she should have brought popcorn. She noticed a vampire walk up, but appeared to only be watching. Interesting, she was going to go talk to them. That’s when she heard it, with her ablities and such. It’s when she knew something has happened, she took a step forward and said a word in a foreign language that wasn’t used and was as dead as things get. She flicked her finger towards Grimm, so he’ll be able to brush things off with his little accident. She figured with his age, he needed to be healthy to be any form of useful. She took a step forward and sort of flashed beside Ryder, since she didn’t have time to mutter words cause she already knew that another one was on the verge of falling. She touched Ryder’s broken arm, she could feel the bone almost fixing itself underneath her touch. She never took her eyes off of his, before giving him a light wink and running off towards Jinx. She had already put up her staff, she didn’t want to show off her powers, just yet. She touched Jinx’s broken bone and didn’t let go until it was heeled properly. She also noticed that the werewolf was still fighting his way threw the crowd.

Dexter waited for the world to stop spinning and for the pain to dull a bit but that didn't seem to be happening. In fact the pain got worse as his adrenalin began to wear off. He lost a bit of blood, not enough to put him in danger of bleeding to death though if he didn't patch up his shoulder that could change. Blood leaked from the wound in his shoulder, down his arm and dripped from his finger tips. He watched the bright red droplets as they hit the green grass. His other hand still clutched the stake, though he was fairly certain his ring and pinky finger were broken. When he inhaled he felt sharp pains in his side, but broken ribs weren't exactly knew to him. He'd taken a few good hits to the noggin but he was pretty sure none of his injuries were immediately life threatening. He'd taken beatings worse than this before, not many but he usually didn't have to fight more than a vampire or two a night.
His stomach growled at him again, reminding him that he still hadn't eaten anything. He'd been hoping his stomach would forget about that food thing it seemed to like so much. He figured he'd worry about that later though, one problem at a time. He lost his thoughts when he heard a voice. She made a comment about stake's being more effective than chucks of tombstone, as if he didn't already know that, then threatened to shove his stake somewhere painful.
“Yeah you could do that but a vampire already tried and, well, you can see what that got him.” Dex muttered, his voice edged with hostility. He didn't like to be threatened, nor the implication that he'd use a stake on a human. He wondered if Luna was a slayer, or possibly one of their friends, he hadn't remembered seeing her with the others that arrived just before the fight. She offered to help him patch up his shoulder. Normally he'd never accept help from someone he did trust, and since anyone he'd ever really trusted was dead that usually didn't leave anyone he'd take help from. But he wasn't sure how he was going to patch up his shoulder with one hand before he passed out from losing too much blood. He did still have his gun in case she wasn't what she said she was. He tried to focus his vision to see if the girl looked like a threat. His only other option would be a hospital and the thing about hospitals is they usually expected payment.
“Umm, yeah, if you wouldn't mind. I have a first aid kit in my car, it's not too far.” He said looking around trying to remember which direction they'd came from. He was a little lost right now. “I'm Dex.” He said realizing that he hadn't introduced himself yet. “So are you like, with the slayers and their team of good guy vampires and other freakshows or did you just happen to be taking a walk in the graveyard at night and thought vampire fighting sound like fun?” He asked offering a small grin in an attempt to seem a bit more friendly. Dex wasn't really good with people but it probably wouldn't kill him to try and be a little less hostile.

Valentine starred at the new guy, the one who could turn into a wolf. He wondered what he was, Beckett certainly didn't smell human and though he had just turned into a wolf he clearly wasn't a werewolf. The guy started giving him a weird look then called him interesting. Val rolled his eyes. “Yeah I guess I'm pretty unique, got a soul and everything. Thanks for help by the way, you know with that horde of vampires, it was real nice of you to pitch in.” Val said, clearly be sarcastic. The guy, Beckett as he called himself, had just stood around not lifting a finger to help. As far a Val was concerned that made him useless to them. He looked around and saw another vampire near by who had also spent his time watching them. Val stared at the other vampire for a few seconds. He didn't feel like a threat, but he decided it would be best to keep an eye on him.
Val looked back at Grimm and Beckett. “Your welcome.” He said remembering Grimm had thanked him for fighting off a vampire. He looked over at Lexi who was lying in the grass, she was alive but he was still worried. He glanced back at Grimm. “I'm going to check on Lexi, just holler if you need me.” He said before shooting a warning look towards Beckett. The guy seemed more interested in playing a game of guess what I am over fighting but just in case he wanted Beckett to know messing with Grimm or anyone else here was a bad idea. He made sure his face was out of vamp mode before heading over towards Xandra. He laid down in the grass near her and reached out to hold her free hand. He saw that one hand was pressed against a wound, and Val could smell blood.
“So I'm gonna guess that vampire that tossed Grimm about with his mind was Griffin?” He asked though he was pretty sure he knew the answer. He'd seen pieces of her fight, it hadn't really gone well and that made him worry. Griffin had power and he'd fought Xandra and walked away, not many vampires could claim that. “I'm going to ask you something and I don't want you to take this the wrong way but please promise me that the next time you fight Griffin you'll be careful.” Val asked keeping his voice barely above a whisper. Something about Griffin had him extra worried. “You okay?” He asked as he turned his head to look at her.

Ryder had wanted to help Cici, after all she was only surrounded by vampires cause she was trying to help him, but Kuro got there first turning them to dust with her lava trick. Ryder wished he could have power like that, well without the whole turning into a megalomaniac craving power the way a junkie craved drugs. He really had no desire to relive that again. He looked around and noticed that all the vampires, well the bad one, had all been dusted. Before he had time for another thought there was girl next to him doing something to his arm. He was about to say something but she was gone, and his arm was fine again. A healer, that would certainly help there side out a lot, especially considering that most of the others looked pretty beat up as well. “Hey thanks.” He shouted out in the direction she'd gone. He then headed over to Cici.
“You lied to me earlier,” He said grinning. “Acting like you couldn't fight. High five for your first stalking.” He said enthusiastically throwing his hand up. “And hey thanks for help out there, you're definitely slayer material.” He added as he looked at the bite marks on her neck. “Hey that pink haired girl is going around healing people, you should have her fix your neck wound. Trust me passing out from blood loss is not exactly the best way to end the night.” He said joking around a bit. Ryder never liked it when things got to serious.

Luna raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms over her chest and waited on Dexter to answer her. He looked like he was trying to figure out if she was a threat or not, or at least what she assumed he was doing. It was what she'd do if it were the other way around. Luna didn't trust anyone, and she didn't expect anyone else to just trust her. In fact if they did, Luna would think they were stupid. While she waited, Luna tried to decide if she was making a mistake by offering to help him. She didn't know him, there was no guarantee he was a good guy, after all. He could be a serial killer or something. But if Luna could handle herself, so she shrugged the thought off. Despite Luna's usual 'no contact with people' rule, the guy looked in pretty bad shape, and Luna wasn't quite heartless enough to not try to help.
He finally answered, agreeing to let her help him patch up his shoulder and said that he had a first aid kit in his car, and that the car wasn't that far. Luna nodded her head. "Good, because I don't have one," she admitted with a shrug. That did remind her though, she needed to grab her bag, she didn't want to leave it in the graveyard for someone to run off with while she helped Dex, as he had introduced himself as, with his shoulder. Before Luna could head over and grab it, Dex spoke again. Asking if she was with the Slayers and. . . 'their teams of good guy vampires and other freak shows'. That caused Luna to frown. Good guy vampires? Seriously? Then he added his second guess, of if she just happened to be taking a walk in a graveyard and thought it sounded like fun to fight with vampires. Luna snorted, but decided to hold back the sarcastic remark that came to mind since he looked to be trying to be a little friendly. The smile was small, and looked to be something he didn't normally do. So Luna decided she could meet him halfway and try to be a little friendly herself. Not her style, but shouldn't kill her.
"More like the second one," she admitted, shrugging. "I just got into town not an hour ago. I'd heard rumors about something going on here and thought I'd see if I found anything interesting going on. Graveyards are usually interesting. When I saw the fight-" Luna turned and looked around, scanning the graveyard for the other people she'd seen there. Not a clue who any of them were, except she was pretty sure she spotted three vampires, and maybe a Slayer, or two. "-couldn't miss out on the fun. I'm always up for a good fight that involves staking a vamp," Luna said. She looked back towards Dex again. "I have absolutely no idea who those people are. And uh, vampire good guys?" she repeated, raising an eyebrow at him. "Sure you heard that one right? Because I sure as hell don't think there is such a thing," she muttered. Shaking her head, Luna turned and walked away. The tree she'd hid her bag behind was only a few feet away, she grabbed the bag and walked back over to Dex as she dug around in one of the side pockets of the bag. She sat the bag down on the ground and held up what she'd gotten out of the bag, which was a black bandanna she brought a couple of towns back. "Temp patch until we get to your car," she said, "ya know, so you don't pass out on me or anything." Luna stepped over closer to Dex, careful to not do it too fast so he didn't think she was trying anything, and put the bandanna over the wound in his shoulder, and tying it just under his arm tight enough to try to help slow the bleeding down a little. It wasn't the best patch, but at least it would help until they got to his first aid kit in his car.
With that, Luna grabbed her bag off the ground and slid the strap over her shoulder. She'd noticed Dex looking around, and thought maybe he was trying to figure out where they were exactly in the graveyard. "The gate is over here," she said, already heading in that direction. She turned around to face him, walking backwards. Partly to make sure he was keeping up alright, and partly because Luna never turned her back on anyone. Couldn't trust them not to try to stab, or bite, you or something. "Where did you leave your car at?" she asked. Luna considered throwing in another threat, that if he tried anything she'd kick his butt, but she forced herself not to. The only reason she had been going to was because it was second nature to her to do so. But she also knew that was probably why she didn't have any friends, and it wouldn't hurt to tone it down a little. Besides, Dex did look to be in bad shape, how much of a threat could he be? Luna was hurt, but not nearly as bad, so she was pretty sure she could take him down easily enough if he tried anything.

One good thing about being a Slayer, was that a Slayer's strength rebuilt faster than the average human, and they healed a little faster as well. So after not having to move for a moment or two, the dizziness had lessened so the ground didn't feel like it was moving anymore. She still felt like hell, of course. And no where near being healed, but anything less than feeling like she was going to pass out, she was pretty sure she could handle. She kept her eyes closed, but her ears open in case Griffin came back, or there were any left over vampires from the fight hanging around. So when she heard footsteps getting closer, Xandra quickly opened her eyes but then relaxed when she saw that it was Valentine. She had been hoping to have a chance to hide just exactly how bad her fight with Griffin had went before Val saw her, but it was too late for that now. Besides, Valentine always had a way of seeing right through her, anyway, so it probably wouldn't have done her any good to try in the first place.
The broken ribs weren't anything new, neither was the headache, or the other cuts and bruises, and none of that really bothered her. What did bother her, however, was the fact that she couldn't get her damn hands to stop shaking. It wasn't like Xandra to let anything shake her, and Griffin had managed to shake her. That both pissed her off, and worried her. Especially with Josephina's warning bouncing around in her head. When Valentine laid down next to her and reached over for her hand, Xandra focused harder on making her hand steady, and was pretty sure she'd managed before taking Val's hand. Oddly enough, as soon as she did, she felt herself relax a little. When Valentine said that he was going to guess that the vampire that had thrown Grimm into the tree was Griffin, Xandra snorted. "The one and only," she grumbled. "He is pretty hard to miss, isn't he?" she asked rhetorically, sarcasm leaking into her voice. "Thanks for watching out for Grimm, by the way," she added. The fact that he had meant a lot to her. Grimm was like family to her, and she wouldn't handle it well if anything happened to the old guy.
Xandra had been hoping that Valentine had missed the fight with her and Griffin. That he'd been too distracted with his own fights and watching out for Grimm. But, she took a guess of her own that he'd seen at least pieces of it when he spoke again. She wasn't sure what to expect when he started, saying that he was going to ask her something and that he didn't want her to take it the wrong way. But even not knowing what to expect, it still surprised her when he asked her to promise that she'd be careful the next time she fought Griffin. Maybe it was because it was the first time he'd actually said something like that. Probably because most of the time, Xandra could handle herself just fine in a fight, but things were different with Griffin. Xandra stayed quiet for a long moment, trying to figure out how to respond. For a second, Xandra almost considered pretending she hadn't heard him, it wouldn't have been that hard to do since his voice had been so low. But Xandra couldn't do that. Still, she wasn't sure she could promise him that either. Not just because of what Josephina had said, because Josephina's vision weren't written in stone. They could change, and had before. But Xandra knew, deep down, that she couldn't beat Griffin. Griffin was too old, and too powerful for one Slayer to kill alone. But Xandra wouldn't allow anyone else to try to help in the fight. And it wasn't because she was being stubborn and wanted to be the one to stake him. It was because she refused to let anyone else get hurt in her fight.
Xandra still hadn't answered when Val asked if she was alright, but she had made up her mind on what she would say. Turning her head, Xandra gave him a small smile. "Yeah, I'm fine, Val." And she knew she would be, she'd had worse injuries. "Just tired, and this seemed liked as good a spot as any to take a break," she said, shrugging. Sighing, Xandra looked away again for a second. "And I promise that I'll be extra careful the next time I fight Griffin," she added. She kept her voice nearly as low as Valentine's had been, and gave his hand a light squeeze. Xandra didn't make promises easily, because when she did make them she kept them. But Val hardly ever asked her to promise anything, so could she not on the rare time he did? And she'd just have to keep it. She could be extra careful. Sure she was usually more reckless, but she could be careful if she had to be. She just didn't know if being careful would change anything. For a minute, Xandra was actually tempted to tell Valentine the truth, exactly what Josephina had said that had made her try to leave him behind in the first place. She hated not telling him, because she pretty much told him everything. But, she couldn't force herself to tell him right now.
Xandra went quiet for another minute, but it wasn't an uncomfortable silence. Or at least not for her, anyway. It helped her relax a little bit more, and her head started to feel clearer. Which was probably part of what made her do something completely out of the ordinary for her. Xandra pushed herself up a little, and shifted to face Valentine. Leaning over closer, she kissed him. When she broke it off, she paused instead of pulling back. "Hey, you know I love you, right?" It wasn't something Xandra normally said, she wasn't the affectionate type by any means, so her actually saying something like that was even rarer than her apologizing.
She gave a light chuckle and grinned. "You know, you're a very bad influence on me, Valentine Leon. You're turning me soft," she joked. Never one to go serious and let her softer side be seen for more than just a moment or two, Xandra had to say something to lighten the mood again. Pulling back and forcing herself to sit up, but not letting go of his hand, Xandra sighed and looked around the graveyard. Everyone appeared to be talking among themselves, and as much as Xandra wanted to stay there alone with Val, she knew that they couldn't. She glanced down at her side, pulling her hand away from it. The shirt was ruined, and had a lovely little bloodstain on it, but it did look like the bleeding was slowing. Still, something felt off to her about that. The fact that Griffin had used a dagger on her was. . . odd, and out of place for him. It didn't make sense to her. Shaking off the thoughts, she looked back to Valentine. "I guess we should round up the Scooby Gang over there and see who all Grimm brought. And see what if Grimm has any idea what the hell is going on with those Earthquakes," she said. Xandra paused, spotting someone new. A guy standing at the edge of the graveyard and watching the action. Her instincts told her that he was a vampire, but they were giving her mixed signals on if he was good or bad. Xandra frowned, looking back towards Val. "Didn't know there was an audience watching the fight," she muttered.

Just moments after Griffin left the graveyard, there was a quick flash directly in front of him, and Jack appeared. Griffin rolled his eyes. "Don't waste any time, do you, Demon Boy?" Griffin said sarcastically. Griffin had just barely ended the fight with the Slayer, and already Jack was waiting on him.
"Rainer's impatient. Did you get it?" Jack asked, getting straight to the point.
Without saying anything, Griffin held the dagger up. It was the dagger he'd used on Xandra, and still had her blood on the blade. "One delivery of fresh Slayer blood," Griffin said. "And before you ask, no as requested it wasn't from the newbie," Griffin said.
Jack nodded. "I saw the fight. It was the older one. Rainer will be pleased. The more mature the Slayer, the stronger the Slayer blood is." Jack held his hand out but Griffin shook his head.
"First I want to see my end of the dead," Griffin said.
Rolling his eyes, Jack reached into his pocket and pulled out a small black box. "Here it is. Same time?" Jack asked.
Griffin considered it for a moment. He didn't like to do anything fair, and he could use his power to take the box. But then it would lead into a fight and while Griffin had gotten away, Xandra had hurt him pretty bad. It might give the demon the upper hand in a fight. "Find," he muttered. He tossed the dagger towards Jack, and at the same time Jack tossed the box to Griffin. Griffin caught the box, quickly snapping it open and looking inside. Grinning, he nodded his head. Just what he'd asked for when Rainer had apporached him and asked him to get some Slayer blood for him. Rainer had only said that he didn't want the blood to come from the new little blonde Slayer, but other than that, he hadn't cared who the blood came from. And Griffin knew of the perfect Slayer to get it from. He'd had some unfinished business with her anyway.
Jack turned the dagger over, and then looked up at Griffin. "What was up with that, anyway?" he asked. "I saw the fight. You had the perfect chance to kill the Slayer. Why didn't you?" Jack was actually a little annoyed with the vampire, who passed up the chance to kill a Slayer?
Griffin narrowed his eyes. "That's my business," he said. But, just as quickly, Griffin grinned, and when Griffin grinned it was always a very sinister looking grin. "I have my reasons for not killing her yet." And that was all Griffin would say on the matter. His reasons were his own, but he did have a good one for waiting. After all, tomorrow was the anniversary of when Griffin had killed Xandra's parents. He could wait one more night.

Grimm looked from Valentine to Beckett for a second, but decided to stay quiet. There wasn't anything for him to say just yet, and the fact that he was still feeling a little winded, made him want to catch his breath and try to clear his head before saying anything. Actually. . . after another minute, Grimm started feeling better, and then completely normal. Huh? Grimm wasn't complaining, but at his age, it took longer to recovery from things. He looked up curiously, spotting a girl that was going around to the people that were injured, pausing by Ryder, and then over to Jinx. Maybe she was why he was starting to feel better? He wasn't sure how, but maybe she was a healer of some sort. Well, that would be helpful. Extremely helpful, actually. Especially considering that it looked like several people on their side had gotten hurt rather badly during the fight.
He snapped out of his thoughts when he heard Val, saying that he was going to go check on Lexi and to just yell if he needed him. Grimm nodded his head, and glanced over towards the direction he'd last seen Xandralexia. She looked. . . well, she'd probably been better, but she was obviously alive. He did want to check on her, but decided against it, Val could make sure she was alright, and Grimm guessed that Xandra might want a moment alone with him. Grimm would have to talk to her later, from what he'd seen, her fight with Griffin hadn't went well. And that was highly unusual for Xandra.
Beckett grinned at Val's sarcastic remark about how he hadn't gotten involved in the fight. "Well, your little group appeared to be doing just fine on your own. I didn't want to interfere," he replied, matching the sarcasm Valentine had used. Beckett was unfazed by the sarcasm, and the fact that it had obviously annoyed the vampire that Beckett had stayed out of the fight. He didn't really care what the vampire thought of him. Beckett didn't go around trying to become friends with everyone he met. . . or anyone that he met, actually. Beckett was more a loner and an observer. Why should he get involved in a fight, where he knew absolutely nothing about those involved? Sure, the one side had been staking the vampires, but how did Beckett know that they were good themselves? He didn't. And Beckett didn't fight unless he absolutely had to. The vampire than said that he was going to check on someone and gave him a warning look before leaving. At the look, Beckett grinned again, and gave a mock wave. "Bye now," Beckett said causally. As Valentine left, Beckett looked back towards Grimm.
"So, interesting little party. Where did all of the vampires come from?" Beckett asked.
Grimm blinked at him, and was clearly trying to decide what he thought of Beckett. After a moment, Grimm finally answered. "I'm not sure. They just appeared here a moment ago," he said carefully. Right after the earthquake, but Grimm wasn't going to go into details just yet. Instead, he had a few questions of his own for Beckett.

Jinx managed, just barely, to stake the second vampire that lunged at her. And was more than happy to see that the fight looked to be over finally. She wasn't fond of having to stake vampires in the first place, and add in a broken wrist and she liked it even less. Not to mention that she wasn't that great at it to begin with, let alone with only one working hand. Jinx quickly started scanning the graveyard, making sure that everyone was alright. From what she could tell, there were several people rather beat up, but at least everyone on their side seemed to be alive. That was always a good thing.
Jinx was still looking towards the others when some girl she didn't recognize came running towards her. Jinx flinched at the sudden movement, almost expecting to get tackled or something. But that wasn't what happened, the girl stopped short of running into her, and grabbed her wrist. Jinx frowned, and started to pull her wrist back. "Uh, what do you-" she started to say, but then trailed off and stopped trying to pull her hand away when she realized that the pain in her wrist was starting to fade. And before she knew it, the girl was letting go of her hand and it felt like her wrist was completely healed. Jinx blinked, turning her hand and surprised to see that it moved perfectly normal and without the slightest twinge of pain.
"Oh, thanks," Jinx said. "That's pretty cool, actually," she said with a light chuckle. She looked up from her wrist to the woman. Jinx knew better than to just trust someone she just met, but considering that the girl had just healed her wrist, Jinx thought that she must be alright. "I'm Jinx, by the way," she added. "Are you uh. . . new here?" Jinx asked. That actually hadn't been what she'd wanted to ask. What Jinx had wanted to ask was what the girl was, but she changed it at the last second, not wanting to be rude. And really, it wasn't any of Jinx's business anyway.

Spike laughed at Rainer's response, he could tell he'd really pushed the demons buttons when he saw Rainer's eyes turn red. Spike always got a kick out of cause people or demons to lose their cool. He was a bit disappointed he didn't get any useful information out of the demon. He wasn't too worried about the demons threats either, if Rainer couldn't even manage to grab some little girl he was either a pretty weak demon or a coward who was afraid to get his hands dirty. Spike could handle some hotheaded demon, and he sure as hell could handle some fresh new slayer.
“Relax Ray, we'll get your girl.” Spike said grinning at the demon as he left. He wanted those gem's and he'd do whatever he needed to get them. He planned on grabbing the girl and having her gift wrapped and on Rainer's porch as soon as possible. He chuckled a bit when he heard the demon slam the door.
Rattlesnake grinned when Dru tried to tell him how she wasn't afraid of him. “Who you trying to convince that you're not scared? Me or yourself? You maybe a vampire now, my pet, but remember who made you that way. If it wasn't for me you'd just be some scared little human hiding from the dark and crying for the dead. I'll never forget what your fear smells like, or what it tasted like mixed with your blood.” Rattlesnake licked his lips and smiled, remembering the taste. He loved to remind her of her days as a human. He walked passed her flicking the cat's ear and moving his hand away before it had a chance to bite him. “Now, if you'll excuse me I have a slayer to catch.” He said as he started to walk off. “And while I'm at it I might as well kill the other slayer and her pet vampire, that'll make us about even, right Dru?” He added, bragging about his plans.
“Other slayer?” Spike repeated raising an eyebrow. Rainer had only mentioned one slayer. A slayer with a pet vampire, now Spike was pretty sure he knew exactly who that was. “Are you saying that Xandra and Valentine are here?” Spike asked annoyed.
Rattlesnake stopped grinning, apparently they didn't already know that and he'd just let it slip. It probably would've been smarter for him to keep that one a secret, let them be surprised by the slayer and her pet. It was too late for that now so Rattlesnake just shrugged. “Oh you didn't hear? Might want to and stay in the loop.” He taunted turning around and grinning.
“One day soon, Rattlesnake, Rainer will have his slayer and Dru and I will come for you. I will personally tie you up and pour holy water down your throat until you choke.” Spike threatened. Rattlesnake chuckled a bit before he headed off.
Spike glanced at Dru and grinned. “What do you say we go slayer hunting?” He asked looking up at the sky. They still had a few hours before sunrise, plenty of time for fight or two. If they did this right they might only have to be in this little town for only a day or two.

Dex made the mistake of attempting to shrug, which only caused him to wince as pain shot through his shoulder. He was damn sure he'd heard the claims of good vampires from the slayers, but was relived he wasn't the only one who thought that was a bunch of crap. “Well between you and me I believe in vampires wearing white hat's about as much as I believe in the tooth fairy and the Easter bunny.” He said shaking his head. “The slayer over there.” He said gesturing with his head, “Told me I wasn't aloud to stake that vampire, said he was a good guy and I'm pretty sure they're having a thing, ya know.” He said shaking his head as she tied a bandana around his shoulder. He winced again, just the slightest touch to his shoulder was pretty much unbearable. He then followed her to the gate and started heading towards where he'd left his car. He noticed that she walked backwards and kept an eye on him as if he was someone not to be trusted. Well he probably wasn't the most trustworthy person around but he wasn't a psycho, he killed demons and vampires not people. He put the stake into his pocket and picked up his pace to get ahead of her.
“Seriously babe, I only kill evil and even if I did kill people for kicks and giggles what sort of threat could I be right now? Unless your afraid I'm going to bleed on you?” He asked, keeping his tone light, walking past her and heading towards the direction where the grocery store parking lot he'd left his car at. “I'm not serial killer, I'm a hunter. Vampire's mostly but occasionally a few demons, werewolves and dark warlocks hell bent on raining destruction down on our already fucked up world, and even those I don't stab in the back. Believe me, sweetheart, if I was looking to fight you, you'd know it, you'd be facing me and we'd be evenly armed.” He added shaking his head and smiling a bit. It didn't take long to get to his car and when they were close enough for him to see it he picked up his pace and headed towards the trunk of his car. He fished around in his pocket for his keys, found them and popped the trunk.
Before he even saw inside the smell hit him, it was awful and it nearly made Dex lose his lunch, except he hadn't had any lunch for a while. For once he was glad his stomach was empty. He used his hand to cover his nose and mouth and starred at what had somehow ended up in the trunk of his car.
“Remember earlier, when I mentioned how I am not a serial killer?” He said not even bothering to look at Luna as he spoke. His eyes were fixed onto the body in his car, he recognized the stiff. The man was late forties, pale with a pair of puncture wounds to his neck, and wore an Elvis costume. Father O'Riley, the priest who'd helped him out back in Vegas was now dead in his trunk with the word SOON, carved into his forehead. He'd been into his trunk when he'd gotten into town, their hadn't been a body then, someone had been into his trunk and dumped it here while he'd been out fighting. He could tell from the smell of it the priest had been killed around the same time he'd left Las Vegas, the body was far from fresh.
It was also painfully obvious that this was his fault, the man had been killed because he'd helped him and it wasn't the first person to get hurt because of Dex. He kept staring at the body trying to think about what he was going to do. He couldn't call the police, he was already wanted in both Texas and Kansas and how exactly was he supposed to explain how a body got in his trunk? Tell the police a vampire put it there to send a message? That wouldn't exactly fly. He remembered he'd seen Ryder earlier, the wizard could help him cover up the crime and possibly send the body back so the man could have a proper burial. He deserved that much at least. If Luna was suspicious of him earlier he couldn't imagine what she thought of him now. The combination of the smell and the loss of blood was making him dizzy. He removed his hand from his face and grabbed the first aid kit from his car then quickly closed his trunk.
“I swear I had nothing to do with this, but I'd understand if you didn't want to help me, I don't exactly bring good luck to people who do.” He said, struggling to keep his eyes open.

Valentine shrugged slightly when she thanked him for looking out for Grimm. “Anytime.” He said with a small smile. Val didn't mind helping Grimm at all, he was good guy. Grimm had always treated Val the same way he'd treated any person while most people reacted to him the same way Dex had. Val had gotten over being immediately distrusted and even hated because of his fangs, it was an understandable reaction, most vampires were violent, vicious animals. But Grimm had never treated him like he was less than human, sure he hadn't trusted Val at first but that was understandable. Plus unlike most Watchers Grimm took an active role in helping the slayers, rather then just standing by and watching young woman die. Val had a lot of respect for Grimm and if he wasn't aloud to help in her fight with Griffin he could at least make sure she didn't have to worry about anything else during the fight.
After he'd asked her to be careful she kept quiet for a while. After a few moments of silence he was afraid she had taken his request to mean she thought he doubted her, which was far from the truth. He knew what she was capable of and he knew better than most the strength and skill she possessed but in any fight it only took one mistake. Life was fragile, and one mistake in a fight, no matter how weak your opponent is, could end in death. Val had seen how badly her fight with Griffin had gone, it surprised Val that it had been the vampire to flee but he was glad it had ended that way. Val worried because he hated to see her hurt and he couldn't bare to imagine what he'd do if he lost her. Before he'd met her he'd led a very lonely life, hated by vampires and really accepted by humans there were very few who Val had ever considered a friend, and those who were never lasted very long. He didn't want to go back to that life.
After a short while she answered his second question, assuring him that she was fine. Then she promised to extra careful the next time she and Griffin crossed paths. The relived a lot of his worry, Xandra wasn't the type to break her word so for now he was content. “Thank you.” He said smiling at her as she lightly squeezed his hand. It was nice to just lay there in the grass, it was peaceful and a peaceful moment was something very rare to those who lead the sort of lives that they did. The moment only got better as Xandra leaned in to kiss him. He kissed her back, glad to have another rare moment, to feel almost normal, like any other couple in love. Except she had just been stabbed in the stomach and half his face still burned a bit from the holy water and they had just battled an army of vampires with there own small group of supernatural creatures and a few human hunters. Though his burn was not nearly as bad as it had been early, vampire healing was a fantastic thing to have. He could spent all night getting bruised and bloody, have bones broken and his skin burned and by sun down the next day he was, usually, good as new.
Xandra broke there kiss by asking if he knew she loved him. He starred into her eyes and nodded. She didn't say it often but that was fine with him, he didn't need to hear it because he felt it every time she looked at him, he heard it her voice and he felt it deep in his heart. Words could lie but you couldn't fake that feeling, there was nothing more honest then that feeling. “I love you too.” He whispered back. He smiled when she accused him of being a bad influence. “Bad influence huh? You're right I'm clearly nothing but trouble, a real wild party animal.” He said with playful sarcasm. He sat up with her and looked around, Grimm certainly had assembled a rather large group. “The Scooby Gang?” He repeated finding the analogy kind of funny. “Are you Shaggy or Scooby then?” He asked then looked over at who she'd spotted near the graveyard.
“Oh he's not the only one, next time we should sell tickets and try and make some money out of this.” He said rolling his eyes a bit and pointing over at Beckett. “He had great time watching us get smacked around and now he's playing a game of guess what I am with Grimm.” Val said shaking his head. He looked back at the other vampire til he caught the man's gaze. “The vampire over there does have a soul.” He said as he looked away. Soul gazing was a trick he'd picked up years ago from a very powerful Shaman he'd known in Africa. He could tell the other vampire had a soul but that didn't necessarily mean he was good. People had souls and they still managed to be capable of evil just as easily as a soulless vampire could.
