Other than the obvious fact that Jinx didn't notice, Logan did notice what Cici was doing. He didn't like the fact that she knew that he liked talking to Jinx alone without her around, every once and awhile. He heard Jinx's comment dealing with Cici, "I'm sure she'll make it." he said, hopeful but wasn't gonna be on his breathe cause he had gotten to know Cici and so far, she didn't wanna learn any of the things she was suppose to be. Then she heard her other comment, he nodded, "Well at least, she said bye before leaving this time?"
Logan glanced around, llistening to her and nodded, "It's nice walking weather." he commented, with a smile. He was happy that he could just be free and not pay attention to what he said considering they already knew that they wasn't human. He was a werewolf and she was a witch, nothing knew to them. He was glad that if he wanted to he could talk to her about witches, when he got into those moods of his, "Yeah, I'd like that." he commented on wanting to come on a walk with her, walking down the stairs with her.
Cici heard Ryder's laugh towards her cemteries comment, she just smiled after she heard his question, "Oh you might, I was just saying that the most exciting thing here is cemeteries." she answered, with a smile as she noticed that he stopped walking when she did. Then she heard his joke, she shurgged, "You can't be a zombie, your to hot to be one." she said with a smirk, like it was a everyday thing that she gave those type of comments. She got to thinking for a little bit when she heard about Grimm, being a boyfriend and had two reactions: 1) hitting him and 2) busting out laughing. She decided to just let out a laugh, while he said that it wasn't his business, she shook her head, "Grimms an old man, I think that'd be inapproprate considering he's one of my mentors.." she said, shaking her head. Then she got a slight idea, "I don't have a boyfriend." she said, matter-of-factly so she wouldn't get asked if she was dating anyone else in town. "But of course, I havent been here long.." she drifted off, taking a glance around.

Valentine nodded an agreement. “Your right only us crazy people spending our lives tracking down and killing evil vampires and other things that go bump in the night.” He said emphasizing the word evil, because hey not all vampires need to be killed, some of them were okay guys, not many but there was of course him. “You know at least you get better names than celebrity babies, as far I know there's no Moonunit the vampire slayer.” He said laughing a bit. Of course then she had to bring up the werewolf incident. Val responded by rolling his eyes. “Well werewolves can be so melodramatic, I mean big deal once in while they turn into a wolf monster, but most of the time they get to be normal, doesn't sound too bad to me.” He said shrugging.
He was about to say something else when she grabbed him, apparently mentioning the council was still bad, he wasn't sure why, I mean they seemed to be on the same side and all but obviously there mention still made her a bit hostel. “You know you could have just said “no” and I'd still get the point, even a “fuck no” would have worked nicely but death threats this early and I might think you aren't happy to see me.” He said keeping his tone light, smiling a bit as he was only teasing, he'd know her long enough that he really wasn't fazed by her temper. Actually he'd always wondered why she hated the council so much, but no would certainly be a bad time to ask. Well it never did seem like a good time to ask, then again maybe he could get Grimm to tell him some other time. Or maybe he should just drop it like he had in the past.
Damn she had noticed his comment about the trunk. Okay so maybe his secret keeping abilities did suck. “Alright I promise to talk to the new slayer as little as possible, obviously my secret keeping abilities are terrible. Can we please never mention my heroic adventure of hiding in a trunk again?” He asked noticing the small smile she had. Almost like old times, well except for all the 'we just broke up' tension, oh look here was that awkward moment he was hoping to avoid.
Valentine nodded. He heard the noise from the dumpster as well, glad to have business to distract them from the now awkward silence as they reached Grimm's. He expected a few things to jump out of that dumpster, but werewolf on a half moon was much lower on the list than even Oscar the Grouch himself. His shock was why he didn't even react as the beast ran right past them. He signed, yeah this town was seriously weird.
“I'm guessing see a werewolf this early in the lunar cycle has something to do with dark power and the gate to hell.” Val said musing over the situation. He glanced over at Grimm when he stepped out to him. “Yes sir, you really just did.” Val responded still a bit confused. “Hoped out of a dumpster and ran off down the alley, any thoughts on that one?” He asked before thinking to add in a hello. “Also hi, nice seeing you again.”

Jinx sighed at Logan. "Yeah, well, I hope so because Grimm's got something important that he needs to tell her. He wouldn't tell me what, except that it was pretty major," she said, shrugging her shoulders. Jinx didn't say anything when Logan mentioned that at least Cici had said bye before she left, just frowned. Sure, she'd said bye but then she'd ran off before Jinx had a chance to say one word to her. Jinx was also pissed because there had been something important that she needed to talk to Cici about and had planned on it on the way to Grimm's, now she couldn't.
Jinx shook her head and shoved her hands in her pockets as she walked, tilting her head back to look up at the sky. It was a nice, clear night out, and only a half moon. She didn't say anything as she walked, mostly because she wasn't sure what to say. Instead she scanned the streets to make sure she didn't see anything lurking around. Mostly vampires, though Jinx knew that there were other things there as well. Jinx hated killing vampires, but she had a few in the past couple of weeks, she'd ruined a perfectly good pair of shoes because she couldn't get the ash off them.
"So," Jinx said slowly, "seems like it might be a quiet night out, finally," she said, shrugging. "Did you hear those sirens last night?" she asked, looking back to Logan. "There must have been three ambulances and a fire truck, and I don't know how many cop cars. I didn't know Moonlight even had that many. I wonder what was going on," Jinx mused, frowning slightly. "It was odd that there wasn't anything on the news about it. Or in the papers. It's almost like everyone just. . .forgot about it." Jinx frowned again. That was actually very possible, she'd read about certain vampires and demons that were ancient had the power to mess with human's minds.

OOC-Sorry it's been awhile, I was sick for like a week man it was no fun at all, I'll post for Rattlesnake later.
“Just cause I'm working a job for you doesn't mean you own me, demon.” Spike hissed between his fangs, demons always acting like they owned everything and everyone, like they were so much better. No one owned Spike, not ever. He glanced at Dru and managed to calm himself ever so slightly, still incredibly pissed that he was in a room with Rattlesnake and wasn't trying to tare the son of a bitch into pieces. Spike's eyes narrowed at Rainer, noticing the way he looked at Dru when he mentioned a slow and painful death. No one threatened him or Dru, and he would love to knock the demon down a few pegs but Dru had a grip on his arm and he knew she didn't want him fighting, not now at least.
Spike glanced at the picture of the girl again, this really wouldn't take long, and the sooner they brought him the girl the sooner they kill Rattlesnake, and as of now that's what Spike really wanted to do. Spike allowed Dru to lead him by the hand back to the car. The thought of food, of fresh blood cleansed his mind of the anger. He grabbed a cigarette from his pocket and lit it before they reached the car. He assumed she wouldn't want to talk about Rattlesnake so he neglected to mention him at all. “So where do you think we can find a bite this late?” He asked tilting his head to the side a bit as he watched her.
Ryder grinned for two reason, first because she had just told him point blank that he was hot and the other being that she had just let him know that she was single. “Well I guess I'm very lucky, I roll into this town and the prettiest girl here is both single and talking to me.” He added as he glanced around when she did, and didn't see anything particularly interesting. Then he wondered if maybe he was boring her, man he hoped he wasn't but he figured he couldn't be too interesting if she'd rather hang out with some old guy than him. Ryder didn't want her to lose interest in him, and he certainly didn't want to continue wandering around town hoping to run into something else interesting.
“So it has been awhile since I've explored a good cemetery maybe you'd could show me what all the excitement is about. I mean unless you'd rather hang out with some boring old dude and then your towns newest tourist will probably end up eaten by a ghost...” He said shrugging, hoping she'd come with him. He started walking away, slowly as he spoke. “And if I get eaten by a ghost you'll probably have to live with all that guilt and you'll never be able to watch a scary ghost movie again.” He said as he kept walking.

OOC: No prob, Shawn. Hope you're feeling better.
Xandra shoved her stake back into her belt and looked over at Valentine when he said that it probably had something to do with the dark power and gate to hell being there. She let out a deep, annoyed sigh. "Most likely. I'm not all that familiar with the Gate To Hell, so I don't know what the hell it's side effects are," she grumbled.
Grimm frowned slightly. "I was afraid of that," he said, sighing and running a hand through his hair. "Yes, I have several thoughts on it, but perhaps you two better come inside first," he suggested, motioning them both inside his office. "Oh and hello, nice seeing you again too," he added as an after thought.
"Gee, what am I? Chopped liver?" Xandra asked sarcastically, rolling her eyes at Grimm.
"I was just-" Grimm started to say but Xandra shrugged him off. She gave Val a shove into Grimm's office and walked in herself.
As Grimm closed the door, Xandra walked over and hoped up onto Grimm's desk, sitting on the edge of it rather in sitting in one of the chairs. "Werewolves on a half moon? What the fuck is that about?" she asked, getting straight to the point.
"It's because of the Gate To Hell. Even though it isn't open, it still projects dark magic into the surrounding area. It use to not be a problem because most of the time, it wasn't too strong. Until Rainer suddenly arrived in town. I'm not sure exactly how he's doing it, but I believe that he's somehow managed to," Grim paused as he looked for the right way to describe it, "I believe that he may have somehow managed to find a way to tap into the Gate's power. It's very difficult to do, and only someone highly powerful can accomplish such a thing," he explained. "With Rainer messing with the power coming from the Gate, it appears to have released even more dark magic then usual here in town. Allowing werewolves to shape-shift even though it's not a full moon. I've seen two do that so far, not including the one you two just encountered tonight. I'm not sure if they're controlling it themselves, shifting at will, or if it's involuntary. When they're human, I can't get them to talk to me to be able to find out."
"Well, next time you see one of the wolf boys point me in that direction and I'll beat an answer out of them for you," Xandra said dryly. "Now, about the newbie."
"Cinnamon," Grimm offered.
"Yeah, Cinnamon." Xandra rolled her eyes at the name. "How much have you told her?"
"Well. . .she knows that she's a Slayer."
When Grimm paused and frowned. Xandra cussed. "You haven't told her that she's the Chosen One yet, have you?" Xandra asked. When Grimm didn't answer, that was all the answer Xandra needed. "Fuck, Grimm! How could not tell her that? You do realize that you're putting the girl in more danger by not telling her everything so that she knows what she's up against, right?" Xandra asked.
"If I had told her the entire truth, she would have freak out, Xandralexia. She doesn't want to be a Slayer, and she's refusing to train. Which is why that I called you in to-"
"To train her. I'm a Slayer, not a baby-sitter, Grimm. You want me to train her? You get her ass here and I'll train her but I will not -repeat, WILL NOT- track her whiny ass down, understood?"
Grimm sighed and took his glasses off, rubbing his eyes. "Yes, we already agreed on that, Xandra. She was suppose to be here at sundown and scout out the graveyards but she hasn't arrived yet."
"So there's vampires free to wander around? That's just great," she said sarcastically. "Spike and Drusilla are in town. So is Rattlesnake, according to Val. Cinnamon doesn't stand a chance with them. If she knew how to defend herself, she could handle Rattlesnake, he isn't a threat to anyone but humans, really. He's never been able to kill a Slayer, new or experienced. Drusilla is unpredictable, even I've had trouble with her at times. But Cinnamon is as good as dead with Spike here, he's already killed two Slayers, and they were both at their peeks, only in their early twenties. They both had experience under their belts and weren't near the deadline," she grumbled. "We need to keep a very close eye on Cinnamon with everyone that's going to be after her," she added. "And I beat you also didn't tell her that she's imm-"
Before Xandra could finish, Grimm cut her off. "No, I haven't told her that, either." Grimm ignored the string of cusses that Xandra began muttering, and turned his attention to Val. "Do you know how long Rattlesnake might have been in town?" he asked. "There's been several murders over the course of the past five days, and I was trying to find out if it might be him responsible for all of them or if there was another vampire in town that likes killing as much as he does," he explained.

Dru relaxed her shoulders as her and Spike made it outside without another fight breaking out and let go of both Spike and Shadow as they reached the car. Shadow jumped up onto the hood of the car, sitting down and wrapping his tail around his paws. He didn't hiss again, but he continued to glare back towards the house. Dru, meanwhile, began pacing. A habit she did when she was agitated about something and sometimes didn't even realize she was doing it. She was glad that Spike hadn't made any mention of Rattlesnake, she didn't want to talk about him right now. Or ever, really. Unless, of course, it was about a way to kill him. Slowly and painfully, would be preferable. She wouldn't mind that conversation.
She pulled herself out of her thoughts when Spike asked where she thought that they could get a bite that late. She frowned slightly and stopped pacing as she thought about that. "There won't be too many options in a little town like this," she began, "there might be a fast food joint that's still open. We could find a few kids working there," she suggested. Dru wasn't really fond of that idea, because that had been mostly what her and Spike had found lately, but sometimes you had to settle for whatever you could get. "I think I saw a Wal-Mart on the way here, we might be able to find something there," she added, shrugging her shoulders slightly. "Or, we could walk, or drive, around for a few moments and see if we spot anyone out," she added. "Which would you rather do?" Dru asked.
She was only partly interested in finding a snack, so she decided to leave the choice up to Spike. Actually, she wasn't even really hungry, she was too distracted at the moment. But still. . . she wouldn't be able to resist a nice looking neck if they found one.

Valentine give a quick smile towards Grimm as he invited them inside, he was always grateful when others remembered to give a proper invite; explaining his condition always made him feel a bit awkward. He then stumbled through the doorway as Lexi gave him a shove. He thought for a moment about how Rainer might be tapping into the Gate of Hell.
“You know I've heard stories about an ancient book, supposedly lost long ago, bound in human skin, written in blood filled with the darkest of dark magic, stuff beyond dangerous. Though demons tend to exaggerate stories, but supposedly it can only be touched by evil, anyone else spontaneously combusts. I don't know how much of it's true but maybe that's how he figured out who to open the gate. I mean things like this always require some sort of dark ritual.” Val said thinking out loud. He listened in to Grimm and Lexi's back and forth about the new slayer, it was almost like old times.
Valentine glanced at Lexi. “I wouldn't be so quick to count Rattlesnack out like that, it's never a good idea to underestimate a enemy. 'Snake's been obsessed with killing a slayer for awhile now, he's the type to be relentless until he gets what he wants.” Val said carefully, he didn't want to sound like he was giving a lecture, but he wanted her to be careful, he hated the thought of her losing a fight, especially to someone like Rattlesnake. “I can't say how long he's been here but most vampire's don't just leave there bodies lying about, they dump them, try and make it look less strange you know. We don't humans hunting us again like in the olden days.” He said slowly, thinking about the whole situation as he spoke. “If you need to discuss some Watcher/Slayer business I can go track down your new slayer, make sure she hasn't found more trouble than she can handle.” He said trying to offer to do something useful.

Logan bit his lip, "Oh hopefully it's not too bad of news..." he trailed, not sure what direction of his sentense he should take. Then he saw taht she shurgged, yeah.. he kinda doubted Cici was gonna be at Grimms they'd end up having to track her down. Well they already had to do that once before, she was found in this little shop where everything was or so it seemed. He listened to her comment and shurgged, "I don't remember. I think i was too tired and dead to the rest of the world last night. He listened to her and asked, "What's going on?" he asked.
Cici smiled when he grinned and heard what he said, "Awh, that's sweet." She noticed that he looked around when she did, she would tell him that she was a slayer? but he would probably think she was weird and run for the hills. She tilted her head, "Hmm that is such a hard choice but hmm lets go to the graveyard." she smiled. then she heard his comment and let out a giggle, "Oh dear, that would be horrible."

Spike took another drag off the cigarette and flicked it across the street and thought about what he wanted to eat. He grinned as he walked behind Dru and wrapped his arms around her waist. “Why not get ahead start on this mission of ours, wander around some graveyards and see if we don't find some sweet young slayer to bite.” He whispered into her ear before leaning in closer and kissing her neck. “Then we'll collect our prize and drag the little snake out into the sunlight and watch him burn.” He added grinning. He wanted to get this job done with, and how difficult could it be to kill one slayer, a new one at that. He wasn't worried about the slayer, but Rattlesnake, the bastard was always getting on his last nerve, causing trouble for him and Dru.
Ryder smiled. “Great, so hopefully the ghosts aren't hungry tonight.” He said as the continued on there walk to the cemetery. He glanced up at the sky, it was pretty late, and while he was sure running into a ghost wasn't so likely, a vampire was a possibility. He knew he could handle a vampire or two but that meaning doing magic and he was a bit nervous about her finding out his was a wizard, he'd heard more than enough Harry Potter jokes and he didn't really care to have to explain the existence of supernatural creatures to some unsuspecting human like that. He glanced over at her and grinned. “Hey wait you've got something in your hair.” He said as he reached over and lightly pushed a strand of hair from her face, then turned and began walking backwards and held out a single red rose to her. “I guess this must belong to you.” He added shrugging.

Cici smiled when he said his ghost comment, "Maybe, but if we see anything...we can run." she said, she hoped they wouldn't run into a vampire. She would have a hard time explaining that she was a slayer. Even if she refused to learn how to be one, suprisingly enough she carried a certian weapon in her boot for just in case, cause she's just that paroniod. She didn't want to be around them. She was slightly leading towards a cemetry, but she really didn't realize which one she was going too. She did know that afterwards, she would be going to one but didn't know which one. Oh well.. She heard him say she had something in her hair, which made her almost stop walking. "Oh I do?" she asked, as he was reaching over. She thought it was pretty cool that he could walk backwards, she would probably trip and fall. She saw the rose, she grinned, "I don't recall having a rose." she smiled, she took it anyway and held it in her hand. "Well aren't you sweet." she said, then added, "Nice magic trick." she commented.

Grimm blinked at Valentine a few times. "I've heard of books similar to that one," he began, "but not one with that kind of power. . . that just may explain how he's doing it," he mused. Grimm walked over to one of his many books, picking one up and began to flipping through it. "Maybe if I could figure out which book he has, I could figure out some way to block his usage of the gate. . ." he said and trailed off, turning his attention to the book.
Xandra's head snapped up when she heard Val and she frowned at him. "Did you just give me a lecture?" she asked, then looked to Grimm. "Did he just lecture me?"
Grimm sighed. "I think it was more advice, Xandralexia. And he does have a good point-"
Xandra rolled her eyes. "Shut up, Grimm," she grumbled.
She looked at Val for a moment, narrowing her eyes and giving him 'the look', the look she always got when her temper was building and she was getting ready to rip into him. She stood up, her boots making a light thud when she jumped off the edge of Grimm's desk, and walked over to stand in front of Val, crossing her arms over her chest.
"One," she began, "I don't need a lecture about fighting. I've been a slayer for 16 years, and seeing as how I'm still kicking ass, I must be doing something right. Six of those years were before you ever even came into the picture, and do I need to remind you that I trained myself? Two; Rattlesnake is nothing but a pest, I've dealt with more vicious vampires and demons then him. Three-" for this Xandra uncrossed her arms and poked Val in the shoulder "-if you're underestimating me, thinking that someone like Rattlesnake can beat me, we're going to have a problem. And four; how well do you think the newbie is going to handle a vamp suddenly walking up on her?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "She may be new and untrained, but all slayers can spot a vampire, it's just instinct. I doubt she's going to be willing to believe that you don't mean to bite her and not try to stake you. Which will only lead to be being a pain in my ass when I have to kill either you for hurting the newbie or kill the newbie for staking you."
Xandra glanced over at Grimm, then back to Val. "Besides, we don't have any Watcher/Slayer business because Grimm isn't my watcher. Any business is just friend business. So WE will go track the kid down while Grimm looks up that book you told him about," she said.
She gave Grimm a quick look, then turned towards the door, grabbing Val's arm and pulling him outside with her. Once outside, Xandra let go of Val's arm and began walking. Silently, she felt a little guilty for ripping into Val. After all he hadn't exactly done anything wrong, and was mostly just trying to tell her to be careful, but that was just Xandra for you. Well, that and the fact Val had hit just a little too close to home with his comment. Xandra wasn't naïve, she knew she needed to be careful, especially with what Josephina had told her. But she wasn't about to repeat that to Val anytime soon. Or ever, really.
Xandra sighed, rolling her eyes at herself. "I'm. . .I'm sorry I snapped at you." Well she hadn't choked on the words, anyway. Probably because she said them before thinking them through beyond the fact that she knew she didn't want that guilt on her head. "God, I'm going soft," she grumbled under her breath. She never apologized for anything. And if Val brought it up later she'd deny she ever did. . . then kick his ass for mentioning it.
Xandra kept walking under they reached the graveyard. "I don't know why, but I have the feeling she's going to end up here," she said, shrugging. "But if you want to wander around and look for her, that's up to her," she added. Slayers tended to be drawn to graveyards by instinct, sometimes without their even realizing it, which was what made Xandra think that Cinnamon would end up there. But, she wouldn't stop Val from wandering around looking for her if he wanted.
She grabbed ahold of the bars on the fence that surrounded the graveyard and hauled herself up and over, only cussing once when her jacket got caught. She dropped to the ground, landing on her feet with a soft thud on the grass. She tilted her head back, looking up at the sky. It was only a half moon, but it was bright enough that it lit the graveyard up well enough. Which was good since she forgot to carry a flashlight. Scanning the graveyard, she didn't see any movement yet, but her heart rate was starting to pick up, making it pound against her ribs. That was always a sign that there was vampires nearby.
"Maybe the night's about to finally get fun," she grumbled under her breath.

Dru smiled widely. "Ooh, that sounds like fun!" she agreed. "Been a long time since I had slayer blood. . .oh but before we tie Rattlesnake out in the sun, I think we should make him suffer a bit. Maybe cut off a few fingers and toes. Pull his fangs out, that sort of thing. Oh! Maybe even get some holy water to dunk him in. . ." she trailed off, leaning back against Spike for a moment as she plotted out a few things for Rattlesnake's demise. Yes, that sounded like a lot of fun. And a nice revenge for the pain in the ass he'd been to her and Spike over the years.
"And of course," she continued, "the sooner we finish, the sooner we can get those sun gem thingies and hit the beach like we talked about," she added, smiling again. Dru's mood was steadily improving, that was Dru for you, she never dwelled on something for long before moving on.
Dru turned around to face Spike and slid her arms around his neck. "I love the way you think. You always have such amusing ideas," she grinned. Dru paused for a second and kissed him, then she pulled away. "Now, let's stop wasting time and try to find that slayer," she said, grabbing Spike's hand as she looked over at Malaki. "Come on, Malaki," she added, turning to walk off, and pulling Spike with her.
Malaki gave an annoyed sigh, but stood up and jumped off the hood of the car, following along behind Dru and Spike, so he didn't get left out of the fun.
"I doubt a town this small has many graveyards," she said, "two, three maybe, you think?" she said, shrugging. They walked a few blocks, before the first graveyard came into view. Dru tilted her head. "I think there's already a few vamps here," she said, "but that might draw the slayer." Dru let go of Spike's hand as she walked over to the fence. Malaki followed, walking right between the bars and waiting on the other side for them.
Dru sighed. "I never have seen the point of these silly things. They never keep anyone in or out," she said, rolling her eyes as she grabbed the bars and climbed up, pulling herself over the top, then dropping down to land gracefully on her feet beside Malaki, then turned back to look at Spike. "Hurry it up, slowpoke," she tessed, smiling.

Jinx sighed when Logan asked what was going on. "I'm not entirely sure," she began, "but there's been a lot of dead bodies around town. Grimm isn't sure what's doing it. It's a vampire killing, the victims have been drained of blood, but vampires don't usually leave evidence laying around like that. I think it might be someone wanting to blame vampires, maybe," she said, frowning.
"Do you think we should go down to the graveyard?" she asked. "Cici probably isn't going, and someone should try to keep too many vampires from rising. Especially with all the deaths lately, there might be several of them if we're not careful," she said.

Ryder shrugged. “What can I say, magic is my gift.” He said grinning a bit, like he'd ever take time to learn magic tricks when he was already talented with the real thing, though for now it was best to let her think it was just a trick. He turned around and spotted the cemetery across the street a few feet, it looked locked up for the night but, locks had never been a problem for him. He grinned, “I'll race you to the gate.” He said offering a challenge. He figured if he could out run her he'd have a chance to use some magic on the gate's lock before she could notice what he was doing. He felt excited, it had been awhile since he'd broke into anyplace and even longer since he'd gone out cause trouble with a pretty girl.
